Thanks Pete, I knew that was wrong , and didn't want to be bashing either. Both Patrick and Calabrese said that Carlisi was boss after Aiuppa. But now that you mention it , I thought it was interesting that Calabrese said Ferriola wasn't a Capo either. He said he was a money maker that reported to the Bosses.Pete wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 8:55 pmQuite the contrary. According to nick Calabrese Ferriola was never even a. Capo let alone boss and he would know who is boss is. I’m not bashing anyone but don’t say stuff was said during testimony that wasn’t. If your relying on a source instead read the actual documents. I’ve read them. There’s many other posters on here who actually read the docs. Let’s all put the work in who wants to and actually go through the stuff so there’s not misinformation flying around as fact. Again not bashing anyone but just do the work. I’ve said my pieceFrank wrote: ↑Sun Aug 19, 2018 9:47 amI don't believe Calabrese testified that Ferriola was Godfather and Carlisi was his Underboss.PaddyWhack wrote: ↑Sun Aug 19, 2018 8:17 amI found this reference to it being Eboli’s house from a article by gangster report.Snakes wrote: ↑Sat Aug 18, 2018 5:02 pmWas it presented in evidence or through testimony? Because it seems to me that if they knew it was owned by Louis Eboli, it would be simple enough to track down via property records. But they (the FBI) still had not located the exact house as of a year or two ago.
Calabrese, who admitted to taking part in the Spilotro brothers hit, claimed that both Di Fronzo and Marino were two of a half-dozen Outfit assassins that mauled and mangled the Spilotros with ropes, bats, feet and fists in the basement of Chicago Mafioso Louis (Louie the Mooch) Eboli’s house in Bensenville, Illinois on the afternoon of June 14, 1986. Nicky Slim also testified that Di Fronzo was the man tasked with organizing the slaughter by then sitting-Godfather Joe Ferriola and that Ferriola and his underboss Sam (Wings) Carlisi were present to watch the gruesome twin executions take place.

Re: Joey Lombardo Update
Yes, Nick Calabrese said that Ferriola was the head of the Wild Bunch and that's it. Don't know what to make of that. Then who was his capo? He filled the gap between Turk Torello and Rocky Infelice. Scarpelli, on the other hand, said that Ferriola was the head of a crew and Louis Marino was his driver and Infelice was his principle lieutenant and the acting boss of the crew when Ferriola was sick. Since Scarpelli was part of that crew, he was in a better position to know.Frank wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 12:04 am

You could have a crew without being capo status. Frank Calabrese had a crew under him. I agree though Ferriola position is one of the more interesting ones to discussAntiliar wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 11:27 amYes, Nick Calabrese said that Ferriola was the head of the Wild Bunch and that's it. Re: Joey Lombardo Update
Correct. Many guys have crews under them. Some are under a big Territory Boss like Frank Calabrese and some are direct with the Top Bosses like Joe Ferriola. Many examples of this are on the Outfit Charts created by Villain and myself.Pete wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 12:40 pmYou could have a crew without being capo status. Absolutely correct that you could have a crew without being a capo, but the question is if this was the case with Ferriola. Scarpelli said he was a capo, not a soldier over a crew. In fact, Scarpelli thought Ferriola could have been the underboss to Sam Carlisi.Pete wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 12:40 pmYou could have a crew without being capo status. Re: Joey Lombardo Update
I think Scarpelli had more of the right idea. I would call Ferriola a powerful Street Boss who was direct with the Administration. All anyone needs to do is read the Good Ship Lollipop Indictment by the Feds. That explains it.Antiliar wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 2:05 pmAbsolutely correct that you could have a crew without being a capo, but the question is if this was the case with Ferriola. Re: Joey Lombardo Update
He was certainly a powerful figure. My understanding was direct with the boss with a crew under him which would generally be a capo just Nick Calabrese comments throw me off

Re: Joey Lombardo Update
Could be these guys are just unsure or are misinformed. When Scarpelli was asked if Ferriola was the underboss his reply was "probably." What he was sure of was that Carlisi was the boss and Ferriola and Infelise were his (Scarpelli's) two immediate superiors.

Some of these guys are not too smart and do not use the same titles that are used on this Forum. As an example, I don't think one Outfit guy in Chicago ever referred to Tony Accardo as the "Consigliere" of the Outfit.

Does Lombardo started his career in Outfit with Elmwood park crew as chauffeur of Cerone?
