Yeah, the glory days are long gone. The Outfit in 2018 is almost an embarrassment compared to the research done about them from 40 to 60 years ago. The remaining guys should either quit or just drive themselves to Jail because that is the final resting place. Guys like DiFronzo, Lombardo, Andriacchi etc. really had no desire to recruit new people and keep things going. My opinion is they backed away and let the Outfit die a slow death. The only real hope was Jimmy Marcello, but that possibility is also gone. Vena can't really do anything and he's next to visit the Penitentiary.

If Chicago goes it'll most likely go the way of Cleveland with a defunct structure of "made members" but a smorgus board of remaining unmade participants who made up the Tartarus Pit of street activity for at least a decade or two. We'll see, this isn't 1985 and things might be far more anemic in Chicago now than what remained in Cleveland then.
