He's in Big Sandy which is still high security but is a whole different world from Florence which is supposed to be the worst in the US. No way is he running the Bonanno's though.

Basciano is history - the family would not even help with his legal fees. He had to do one appeal by himself pro-se. For a young guy relatively speaking - he's in his 50's - he has a lot more time to do in the can.

I have heard that he wasn't well-liked either. I don't really believe it, wouldn't make sense if he was hated but became boss. Did Dom Cicale say that? Because I know he didn't like Mikey, and he has a reputation for exaggerating the facts.

Gotti ran the gambinos from Marion you definitely could from big sandy although I don't think basciano is. Joey Lombardo is in Florence admax there's no running anything from there I wouldn't think but wasn't there a member of the aryan brotherhood who was getting messages out from there?
