HI and were Russell Bufalino and Frank Sheeran close friends? as this article https://www.newspapers.com/article/the- ... 124783960/ mentions that Bufalino gave Sheeran permission for a hit. Also is the book on Frank Sheeran I heard that you paint houses worth reading?

i loved it but then the guys on here said it was bs. its interesting to learn about how angelo bruno and russell bufalino interact and intersect.

One thing i don't get is how could angelo bruno have supposedly this huge portfolio and left his daughter a broke middle aged woman. same w gotti.

I never heard of Angelo Bruno leaving his blood family with $0

neither did i until i saw a documentary and the daughter looked like she was homeless.


Maybe bufalino's influence has been exxaggerated? just asking. gambino shouldve whacked him and taken over the family up there and the garment business.

She was married to a real estate millionaire who died young and didn’t leave her much, mostly their kids. There was an article written years back that said she inherited like half a million and the house from her parents. Which is nice but not wealth. Plus the article said she supported her adult age son who hadn’t worked in over a decade. When the city’s historical society was considering her dads house as a landmark the interview she gave about it seemed like her main concern was would it reduce the property tax.

This article has some references to how much she has, but it still seems she still has some trauma of her dad dying. One part she says [sometimes I sit in his closet and can still smell him]. I thought that was creepy and weird and she seems like the type of person that even if she had millions she wouldn't know it

Netflix definitely didn’t say let’s focus on Russ Bufalino and have Scorsese make the Frank Sheeran story. You can’t even tell the Sheeran story without Russ. Scorsese had actually been trying to make that movie for a decade before Netflix got involved. I take it you haven’t read ‘I heard you paint houses’? Give it a shot.

Martin Scorsese said in one interview when someone questioned the truthfulness of the book...He made a good point I thought. He was doing a movie on this man's book. Who am I to change his story and know what's true. Something to that effect. And he's right. He bought the rights to make the book into a movie. It doesn't really matter if we think it's bullshit or not. It's not our story to tell. Who knows what the real story is anyways...that Dan Moldea guy is in his 70s or something and has spent his whole life trying to find Hoffa remains and he's still not even close.

I've still seen no actual evidence that supports Buffalino being acting boss of The Genovese, at any point . Personally , I think its a load of crap.
