Both the sons of Nick Jr. and Leonardo are named “Vito.”

Nick and his wife, Eleonora Ragusa, also had a daughter. The son doesn’t seem destined to a life of crime, but he does have a big chip on his shoulder because, on his birthday of all days, his father was murdered.

Leonardo and wife Josie Tutino’s son seems even less destined to a life of crime — he looks and acts as though he couldn’t hurt a fly.

The Rizzutos are not invincible and never have been, but they have the money to resolve conflicts and to to hire hitmen from afar. From Daniel Renaud’s 2015 book:

Image

We already learned that Nick Sr. apparently offered $1 million (I’ll check tomorrow to see whether the amount was $2 million) to whoever was ordering the attacks on his family in late 2009 and then in 2010.

And don’t forget Sal Montagna trying to mollify the camp representing Desjardins after his attempted murder by telling them that the Rizzuto camp had a hitman, known only as “36,” roaming around.

Anyway, it seems that some bigtime fanboys on Instagram are trying to deflect about what happened in yesterday’s incident by stating that the true target was Leonardo’s fellow passenger — without of course identifying this passenger. If these fanboys are right, I’ll have to eat crow.

He is/was a lawyer but since his grandfather and brother were murdered and his father was in prison he stepped into a leadership role. He’s been in this position for several years now.

Would be great if this shooting scares him enough to flip and spill the beans.

If you haven’t watched it yet, this video (his initial interrogation when he got charged in 2015 or so) says it all.

To them, mafia life almost seems required.

While the two men spoke, the funeral for Vito's father-in-law was taking place in Montreal at that very moment.

"What are your plans?" Moore inquired. It was a question the detective had to ask. "We knew he was at risk for being targeted."

"Vito are you going back tonight?"

"No, my son Leo is coming."

Leonardo Rizzuto was Vito's son. He was also an attorney in Montreal. The mob boss had utilized the services of his son's law offices on several occasions to discuss mob business, knowing that lawyer-client privilege would secure any conversations as confidential and difficult for police to intercept. His only daughter, Bettina, was also an attorney at law.

Vito provided Moore with the phone number for his son. When the detective called the lawyer on his cellular phone, Leo answered within seconds.

"Hi Leo. What are your plans? Are you staying in Toronto tonight or heading back to Montreal?"

"We'll figure it out, I am not sure what we are going to do."

Moore hung up the phone. Vito Rizzuto sat there and laughed. He turned his attention to the detective. "My son is a lawyer. He's not going to tell you fuck all."

I saw some people claim that too but it looks like Leonardo was actually alone in the vehicle when the shooting took place. Lapresse is now reporting that, JDM edited the article so it no longer says someone else was there, and the Montreal Gazette makes no mention of a 2nd person in the vehicle.

Although, Radio Canada not only mentions a passenger, they're reporting the passenger was injured as well.

Yep, according to the article from La Presse he was alone and I didnt see on the other articles he was with somebody either. The most recent article from Radio Canada didn't mention any passenger(s), so I guess they just didn't had the right tip for their first article https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/19 ... de-meurtre

Too bad for the IG's page(s). But all good for antimafia, it's ok, you can just eat a steak and not the entire cow

Thanks Anti. ....lets keep in mind you dont have to look a certain way to go into crime. Revenge can come from anywhere. Staying with Sicilians - Riina wanted to take out even the "pips" of the Inzerillo clan so they could never come back to kill his family

Radio Canada only has one article out. In the fourth paragraph down they have one sentence about the passenger.
Leonardo Rizzuto is said to have a leg injury and is in stable condition. We don't fear for our life. His passenger was also reportedly injured.

Ok so I'm really dumb and not even able to read my own language ... I guess I read too fast. Shame on me and sorry for the mistake

That said I haven't see nowhere for now any mentions on another passenger but TVA Nouvelles doesn't exlude there was one https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2023/03/15/ ... de-meurtre

Bottom line, mea culpa

The one article states that “The Police do not fear for the victim’s life.” If history proves anything is that in Canada, they won’t stop until he’s dead. When the same thing happened to Pat Musitano, they referred to him as a walking dead man.

Interesting nugget. Lawyers who are OC figures is an N’Drangheta strategy:
