Well that didn't answer what I asked at all.

Prosecutors are probing it now looking if the buffalo family still exists and are probing Canada connections

The below is pretty interesting that there has never been a Buffalo leadership Rico case . I guess this gives some here their out to never admit the Buffalo mafia.

The bottom line is there is a functional IOC family in Buffalo and West NY. That’s right out of the Feds mouth ( US and Canada ) , tbd how strong they are but it does seem like they have been involved in significant drug trafficking, loan sharking, book making activities and have some leadership In FL. It will be interesting to know if this family is involved in the Canadian wars as that would be amazing for a US mob family today.

“If there is a powerful Mafia family in Buffalo, law enforcement officials have never proven it.

Despite some successful prosecutions for murder, bookmaking, loan sharking, drug trafficking, theft and other crimes, law enforcement has never made a criminal racketeering case against leaders of the alleged Buffalo Mafia organization.”

You get the feeling if we end up with a list of 28 confirmed members, the argument becomes "But it's not 30!"

I do like the idea of Violi lying about the membership size to impress a newly inducted Bonanno soldier. Violi, whose relatives go back decades in both the Buffalo and Bonanno families, tries to impress a member of the 150+ member Bonanno family by telling him the once 100+ member Buffalo family now has 30 guys... and he beat them all for the underboss position.

The problem with our information is the Buffalo family hasn't had a member informant or a tape recording for decades. There is no way to confirm leadership and membership without those sources. All we have had is dated info. Fortunately Morena recorded Violi and we know the general structure and make-up of the family as of the mid-2010s.

We still only have snippets of Morena's cooperation. If only he writes a book or does interviews -- we might learn much more.

Buffalo is back, baby! The Arm reaches from Florida to Ontario!

Seriously though, the charges against Gerace Jr. look severe: sex trafficking of minors, narcotics distribution, conspiracy, bribery. I hope he or somebody else flips so we can learn more about this alleged hybrid Nu-Buffalo organization. It will be funny if they were active for years while there were debates here about their status and then become defunct the moment we reach a consensus that they're still active.

Gerace is addicted to Facebook. His last post was on February 28 and was simply this photo from Florida:

The Todaros in Montallegro, Sicily:

Any idea who the guy on the far left is? I am guessing another relative from Buffalo

(Pissing on the Sicilian mafia -- a sign that they were no longer Cosa Nostra and had become part of an 'Ndrangheta Hybrid Syndicate.)

Looking at their ages, I'd guess the trip to Sicily was somewhere between the mid-1990s and early 2000s.

I think perhaps she would have been fine had I asked her permission. She felt blindsided because an email is private conversation. She's not wrong. Moving forward I will just ask peoples' permission before I quote what they've said in email.

I support Ms. Anna Sergi's future endeavors.

Also, the Todaros are doing more than just selling pizzas:

(It knocked my socks off, TBH. When B. spoke of the Diplomat hotel I had this idea of a 2 or 3 star 3-4 story hotel. I looked it up and goddamn! When's the last time a New York member or boss owned something of this size?)

Should say, it was Ron Fino who said the Diplomat was controlled by the Todaros. They certainly held court and conducted affairs there for many years according to multiple sources. Among those who met with Joe Todaro Sr. there were Bonanno soldier Steve Maruca, Colombo soldier Joe Gorgone, and the Philly administration. Todaro Jr. was there for the Gorgone / Philly meet.

I'm not positive where the ownership sits today, only that the hotel was historically controlled by them and Todaro was overheard in his interview in recent years saying he owns a hotel in Florida. At one point they owned/controlled multiple Florida hotels. Sammy Gravano says he met with both Todaros in their hotel in Florida though not sure he specified Diplomat.

Just want to make sure to keep that point clear since we've all had a little bit of fun in this thread alongside the reality that the Todaros are successful businessmen who run the Buffalo mafia family.

Not rubbing this in your face but what you said wasn't going to happen is exactly what just happened.
First, you say that like any significant connection to whoever is actually left in the Buffalo mob has been established. Second, the recent arrest is part of the same investigation surrounding Bongiovanni and certain drug dealers started over 5 years ago (I made that comment above last year). Peter Militelli, a CI for Bongiovanni, busted in 2016 for drug trafficking. Serio, busted in April 2017, reportedly had dealings with Bongiovanni, Masecchia, etc. Anthony Gerace busted in May 2019. Bongiovanni himself busted in November 2019. Pharaoh's strip club raided the following month. Michael Messechia, also tied to Bongiovanni, busted in August 2019. Joseph Bella busted in January 2021. And now Peter Gerace.

All drug dealers tied to the same corrupt DEA agent. All Italian. A couple happen to be nephews of the local titular mob boss. A couple others deemed to be associates, however much that means in Buffalo today. This is the feds taking down loosely connected people in the same general investigation. It's understandable why the general public would believe the media hype about a Mafia comeback. But people on this forum should know better.
It has been established. By the FBI who have an indictment and are investigating the Buffalo Family. These are your rules I'm quoting, broheim. To argue that this is all circumstantial is quite a Dan-like argument to make.

It’s an ego thing and not worth arguing about lol but we do have it from Canada and now the Feds that there is active Italian Organized Crime in WNY. That’s all that matters. The next 12-24 mo could he interesting as it seems the Feds have committed real resources to this case. This is just the beginning of learning more.

Pretty incredible how on the $ Nickle was , same with CC and B, nice work guys.

Yes I’m 2013, the Bonnanos led by then Acting boss Gene Borrello ran into some issues with the Gambino Family. This was due to the fact that a Gianni Russo’s crew was running into debates with the zips over who was making more money and if Michael Franzese was legit.

So in a rare instance the commission was called back together. The vote was split 2-2. The Colombos weren’t on the commission at this time because as former Don Borrello describes it “nobody wanted to be their boss lol.”

So the Gambinos sent their top street boss, money maker and killer John Alite to reach out to Todaro. Todaro is widely considered the Boss of Bosses when it comes to both the American and Canadian mafia. An FBI wiretap said that Todaro was also the boss of Italy and his family had 300 soldiers.

But Wiseguy and Pogo said the FBI never reported this it can’t be true. It’s only 300 loosely connected Italian associates. They also said that the Buffalo family was just 3 old guys on viagra and there’s no way they could be running a cross Atlantic Crime Family.

Back on track though, Todaro met with the four members of the commission at a beach in Florida, he had them dress to the fucking t in tuxedos. He made them walk with him into the ocean until they were neck deep.

Then he made the call that the beef didn’t matter and that all five families would be kicking up 50 points to him once a week.
🐒 ?

You forgot to add Comello as the preferred hitman of the mob lol

That was hilarious, thanks!
