I'm also wondering why Escobar didn't have her killed. He could've gotten to anybody if he wanted but apparantly he respected her.
She mostly worked with the Ochoas, not Escobar. She should have been killed by them considering she killed an Ochoa family member in Florida. But the Ochoas weren't as fond of violence as Escobar and Gacha were.

The mink coat is actually what got Frank Lucas discovered. There's pictures of him wearing it.

Pablo didn't respect her or he wouldn't of killed her two other sons.

Johnny rivi who I think is riveria was her top enforcement

Yeah it talks more about it in CC2. It's quite a story... At one point talking about kidnapping JFK JR or RFK

And then so they had the Godmother dead to rights going to death penalty... But rivi starts having phone sex with the main prosecutor!! Case fucked up.

And she got in some 10 plus pen pal situation w a straight thug from South Central lol.

They were one and the same.

The Mexicans took over the drug trade after the collapse of the Cali cartel in the mid 90s. Guzman became big in the 2000s.

Yes, Medellin.

Yes, the agreement was that Cali had New York while Medellin had Los Angeles and Miami was apparantly an open city.

Medellin at their height controlled 85% of the cocaine trade. Cali at their height controlled 90%, after Medellin was dismantled. Their reign at the top was shortlived, despite their sophisticated operation.

The Colombians are still around. In fact the Feds think they are making a bit of a comeback. They’ve been shipping coke to the US in record numbers over the past few years. The US was one of the only developed nations on earth that saw a drop in cocaine use in the 21st century. Now the Feds think the Colombians are trying to flood the market and increase demand for the drug. I think 2015 or so was the first year this century where coke use increased in the US.

The Mexicans are getting it from Colombia. The Mexicans are not in the manufacturing business. They are in the logistics business.

Jermey weren't you originally referring to cocaine? The Mexicans don't grow coca or produce cocaine. Unless I am wrong my understanding with regard to cocaine and the Mexicans is they are responsible for transportation and distribution. Heroin and meth are another matter and are not cocaine.
