Wonder who he was close to in that era
I believe he was close to John Sacco Jr-at the very least we he received the murder contract from him when he hit “Big Al" Monaco.
See: https://buffalonews.com/news/spataro-ge ... 837eb.html
Seems like an interesting figure. Was he just a murder for hire guy or was he actually part of a crew? Sounds like he had a lot of hits under his belt.
From what I understand Spatro was part of a mob related drug trafficking network and some of his hits were related to this. I will have to see if I can find the article(s) that mention this.
He was part of the Graziadei drug ring: https://buffalonews.com/news/2-on-trial ... b3c53.html

Overlooked, but Danny Domino died in December 2020. Was a confirmed member by several sources.

Las Vegas Sun indicates he was a member:

“Fino said he was told by Daniel Domino, a business agent for the union and a member of the Buffalo mob, that Panaro was one of three men who "were either made or going to be made." A made member is a term for a person who has become an official member of a Mafia family.”

https://m.lasvegassun.com/news/1999/may ... alo-mob-m/

As does The Washington Examiner:

”Fearing that his cover had been blown, Fino went to Danny Domino, another Mafia soldier and a former Local 210 officer who owed him favors”
HTTPS://www.washingtonexaminer.com/week ... ?_amp=true

And the civil RICCO that was dropped

(2) In 1968, Daniel Domino, a steward of LIUNA Local210, Buffalo, New York and a member of the Buffalo LCN family, was sent to jail for extortion. He was released from custody in approximately 1975. On instructions from Joseph Pieri, then a leading figure in the Buffalo LCN family, Domino was hired as a business agent of LIUNA Local 210. Another business agent was fired to make room for Domino. When it was discovered that federal law(Title 29, United States Code, Section 504) prohibited Domino from holding that position, his title was changed to "clerk," but he was paid the same salary and benefits. Domino held this position and later became a business agent and then president of LIUNA Local 210until approximately 198S, when he was fired by the business manager on orders from Joseph A. Todaro, Sr., and Joseph A. Todaro. Jr., the boss and underboss of the Buffalo LCN family, respectively, because he was aligned with a faction of the Buffalo LCN family with which the Todaros were at odds.”

If im reading it right he was at odds because he belonged to another faction and then must have got back in line if he was close to Panaro years after his firing or the landscape in Buffalo simply consolidated itself

Don’t think he was close to Panaro. He was close to Fino who testified that Domino had told him Panaro was made or proposed to be made. Domino is the one that warned Fino they know he had been informing and their was a contract on him.

Got it. Question would be how would he know Panaro was getting made? He would essentially have had a contract on his head for telling Fino I would guess and would have been with what was left of the Pieri Faction during the Todaro transition. Thoughts?

Not sure, but I think he told this to Fino well before Blitstein. There are a lot of things reported or in FBI files that don’t make 100% sense about the factionalism in the family. It is a secret organization and he those informing didn’t/don’t know everything.

There's clearly loads of members of this family that we and the FBI don't know about.

Important to remember that the FBI can know about members or suspect someone of membership but without a source confirming it for them they can't include it on their official lists. The people included on FBI charts and member lists for the Buffalo Family have concrete sources confirming them. As a matter of protocol they can't include anyone else even if they strongly suspect it.

A few years ago Dom Violi was arrested and convicted as the Underboss of the Todaro family. A Bonanno member in Ontario was an informant and that basically kicked off all these Buffalo posts. Go back to the first pages of the thread for all the pertinent articles.

Do you have any confirmation that this Joe Catroppa 1) was indeed recently murdered in Mexico, and 2) is the same Catroppa who was charged, along with Vincenzo Femia, in the murder of Marco Nardozi back in 2000?

If you have confirmation, please don't post how you have confirmation -- I just want to know whether you do have confirmation. Should you have confirmation, I would like to indirectly reach out to Marco's sister to advise her of the news, as I don't know whether law enforcement would have contacted the Nardozis in such a matter. Thanks in advance. If you don't want to comment, I entirely understand.
This article to which I’ve linked below was published Jan. 9. We learn that at Joseph Catroppa’s in-prison wedding to his first wife, his best man was Angelo Musitano.

The guy who invented pornhub was building a giant mansion. It was a mafia row in Canada and was burnt down. I wonder if it had any connections.
