Gotti didn't want to so that meant that no one else could. But guy's in the family were allowed to plead by then. Junior Gotti, Jackie DAmico, Louis Ricco and others in the late 1990s case took pleas. Pretty sure Nick Corozzo and Lenny DiMaria took one in the 1996 case. Several other members took them in the early 2000s. It was just their bad luck that they were indicted with Peter and he wanted to go to trial.

10/4. I always wondered why Gene Gotti did not plead out
in his heroin case. Would John Gotti really have taken action
against his own brother?
Capeci recently stated that it was gene gotti’s own choice not to plead out . He stated that gene was just as stubborn as his brother and just as passionate when it came to the mob
I can see that. Hubris runs in that family. Big time!

Just letting everyone know that JD has updated his blog. A good write up on John Gambino and his crew during the 1980s.

Personally I think his blog updates deserve separate threads. They are better than Gangland y'know.
My problem is I hate everybody.

Wasn't it less about the plea deals themselves and more about the defendants admitting the existence of the Gambino crime family? I always thought that's what Gotti was concerned about because such admissions of guilt could be used to establish the Gambino family as a racketeering enterprise.
I don't know dick about dick.

While he's being mentioned, anyone have a photo of Thomas Spinelli, the Failla crew member killed?

Yes thats what i always thought.

Also i think Piney Armone took a plea while gotti was boss.

In Mob Boss D Arco said he ran into Gene the day before sentencing and told him to run and Gene said he couldnt dp that to his brother
