Great article! Really puts into perspective the "glamorous" life of the average lcn member in the 21st century.

Good read. Thanks for the post. Dont get why pete gotti was so against his codefendants takin a plea in the case. Very stupid.

I think under the Gottis Gambinos had a policy to refuse all plea bargains.

The 'no plea' rule is shows a stark contrast with the Genovese.
The Genovese kill members that 'don't' take a plea.
Gambino's = stupid
Genovese = smart

The no plea rule was already gone by then. Peter Gotti just didn't want to take the global plea so no one was allowed to plea.

This is just too funny. Would have been a good subplot o the Sopranos.
Ciccone, Cassarino and Soldier Jerome Brancato also oversaw sportsbetting operation, ultimately abandoned after too many 'degenerates' ducked payment.
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Uhhh, the boss refused the others to plead guilty.
How is that different?

Because it was a global plea. For them to take the plea would mean that everyone in that case (including Peter Gotti) would also have to plea. P. Gotti didn't want to so that meant that no one else could. But guy's in the family were allowed to plead by then. Junior Gotti, Jackie DAmico, Louis Ricco and others in the late 1990s case took pleas. Pretty sure Nick Corozzo and Lenny DiMaria took one in the 1996 case. Several other members took them in the early 2000s. It was just their bad luck that they were indicted with Peter and he wanted to go to trial.

10/4. I always wondered why Gene Gotti did not plead out
in his heroin case. Would John Gotti really have taken action
against his own brother?

Capeci recently stated that it was gene gotti’s own choice not to plead out . He stated that gene was just as stubborn as his brother and just as passionate when it came to the mob
