Gambling parlors across Northeast Ohio raided

Hopefully we will know more as they sort out what they just raided and give us some details.

This was an internet cafe bust. I'd be surprised if there were any mob connections.
All roads lead to New York.

I wasn't saying it was mob run or anything like that, but some of these bars and cafe's have old ties to bookmakers, loansharks and remnants of the old days...In some cases (Ex: Ronnie Carabbia went to prison and his son, brother and brother in law watched out for all of his action. His son Ron Jr went to Florida after starting Sky King Fireworks with gambling money to become one of the largest fireworks dealers in the country and opened up internet cafe's with "games of skill.") All his internet cafe's were "legal" but started up with gambling money from his father's action.

Yeah, I was aware of that example because of past discussions about Carabbia. But that's the only one I can think of.

I'm aware of that case but I thought it was a video poker operation, with some bookmaking on the side. Not internet cafes.

Some of the locations raided were bars, some Internet cafes with machines.
