We know that he’s still official boss and refused to step down a couple years ago, so his power in the early 2000s was probably strong.Philly d wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 9:41 pmThanks! This theory basically answers my question. Though how much influence does Amuse have at that point?dack2001 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 5:05 pm I forgot to add this sentence. Philly probably wanted Scarfo released so they were free to kill him in order to resolve the matter. Luchese's don't release Scarfo Jr. probably as a favor to his father through Amuso and just break him back down to soldier and strip his crew.

Scarfo Jr. probably would have been a decent boss if he had the backing of the troops. Too flashy though, but so is Joey

Nicky Jr was never well liked by anyone, he was smart to make his move while everyone was sitting in prison.Fughedaboutit wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 5:13 am Scarfo Jr. probably would have been a decent boss if he had the backing of the troops. Too flashy though, but so is Joey

Did Jr have any real chance of taking over the Philly fam? Sometimes I think if he was the go between for his dad and local 504? (which I believe he was still in control of while in prison) and could this have been the reason for his attempted murder ?

Sorry it’s local 54
Re: Scarfo Jr's relationship with Philly?
Scarfo Jr was the go-between for his father and the crime family. I'm not sure about Local 54 specifically, which of course was put under oversight in 1991 - 2 years after Scarfo was convicted.PaddyWhack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 2:16 pm Did Jr have any real chance of taking over the Philly fam? I know Sparacio was the lead guy on 54 when Scarfo went away... not sure what happened when it went into receivership tho. Anthony Staino was also in an admin position at 54 in late 80s and early 90s
