Yes that is very interesting and makes the whole thing alot less complicated. Who was Jack Panels?? So according to this guy a made member it went Panel to Salerno and no consigliere. Tieri was boss. Eboli was acting for Catena. Was La Place acting for Eboli? as underboss.

I have Dom Alongi´s file. There is no mention of him being consigliere in there. And when he died in 1980. the FBI listed him as a former captain, not as a former consigliere. I think Gravano misremembered or got stuff mixed up. Alongi was part of a ruling panel in 1976 and that´s how far up he went, according to available sources.

That´s confusing. But many of the entries on that list have their ranks incorrectly listed. But who knows...Tony Salerno was indicted and inprisoned in 1978 and off the streets. It´s possible Alongi served as the acting consigliere at the time but there is no mention of this in his file. I remember that at this stage of his life, he was suffering from bad health and was basically retired. I will have to go back and read what´s in there as soon as I find time for it.

I get the feeling that Lenehan (Pic) was the greatest fan of the gangsters operating in his area (NJ). His enthusiasm for praising some of these guys was limitless.
