90% of the convicted Red Spies in the 50s all shared a common trait but I can't quite put my finger on it.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

The majority of early Bolsheviks were all Jews from Russia/Eastern Europe... a lot became Marxists and renounced Judaism because of pogroms (state sponsored anti-Jewish rioting)... FYI Roy Cohn was also gay and died of Aids

Phatmattress? It's coming to me.

Wait for it...

Wait for it...

I'm getting a mental picture. Fedora wearing Kermit the frog with the Tommy gun? Or am I thinking of someone else?

PS-Apologies for derailing my own thread.

He personaly got the death penalty for Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and got convictions on Miriam Moskowitz and Abe Brothman also red spies. Roy then went to Wash, DC and became Joe McCarthy's right hand man. However he made a big enemy with Bobby Kennedy as he got him kicked off the team since he had Mccarthy's ear. Once McCarthyism ran its course Roy came up to NY and that's when the fun began! From the late 50's to the 70's he was King of NY and introduced Trump to everyone. I'm the guy who gave him the nickname "Tickettron" because Roy was best friends with clients Stevie Rubell, Ian Schrager and George Steinbrenner. So if you wanted good tickets at Yankee Stadium and entry into Studio 54 - just call Roy if you knew his phone number. Roy was the 1st person in NYC to have a car phone. He always talked to two (2) people at once on separate phones. There will never be another Roy. ps - he allowed Fat Tony Salerno to hold meetings in his law office sicne the feds could not get a warrant there.
probably the most famous, or infamous, lawyer of all time. arguably.

anyway how did you know him? how old are you

unless you were joking in your earlier post about him introducing you to Galante. in that case i apologize for the sarcasm flying right over my head. LMAO

Roy hated gays and spoke out at many community meetings urging school boards not to hire them as teachers in the classroom. I'm not proud to say I met Galante it's just that I was somewhere with other people when Roy and his entourage from his law firm Saxe, Bacon & Bolan also came into the location and when he saw me said I want to introduce you to someone. I had a similar situation 2 years later when a lawyer friend of Leroy "Nicky" Barnes got him out on bail and also introduced me which I did not want. Later a few weeks later while Barnes was still out in bail and under heavy, heavy DEA monitoring, he literally bumps into me on a Manhattan Street in midtown and shakes my hand. I can only imagine those pics that I am in!

Looks he just stopped posting and stopped visiting the forum. He hasn't been back on since his disagreement with B.
