Scott didn't specify WHO the younger guys in the Cicero Crew were beefing with.
Some guys who were left over from the Melrose Park Crew were Frank & Joseph Bonavolanti, Richard Gervasio, Gil Valerio, and James DiDomenico.![]()

I never said they were all alive. I only NAMED the guys who were convicted in 1996 from a case I read.

Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
where does Albert Vena fit in?
HANG IT UP NICKY. ITS TIME TO GO HOME.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
Wasn't there a Scott Burnstein report of Vena being named street boss. It was either last year or the year before.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
Also Vena has been investigated for the Tony Zizzo disappearance-murder. He supposedly was also very close with Addriacchi and Sarno. Smokers claim that Addriacchi is still active leaves the door open to him being the current top boss of the Outfit.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
Keep in mind, none of these guys are ACTIVE per say. They're bosses. The real Guys to pay Attention to are the names that arent well known yet, the younger guys Actually operating the rackets, like Marco's driver Johnny Moe. Vena & Andriacchi are old men.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
I was under the impression that Vena was boss of the Grand Avenue crew and that Chris "The Nose" Spina was his street boss.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
Yes your right if Vena as reported to be the chief executive and SolleyD being the top boss if all true. Maybe Addriacchi is co top leader maybe DiFronzo still official boss we don't really know for sure. Regardless Vena is the baby at 68 . I'm sorry forgot about Cautadella don't know his age but Solly is pushing 80 and we know Addriacchi and DiFronzo are both nearing 90. DiAmico is at least 80. So my point is your definitely right to look at the younger members as they hold the key to the Outfit future.

Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
I think the report by Bernstein I believe was naming Vena as Street Boss of the entire Outfit. Which I figure must mean he is the chief executive and SolleyD as the top boss ,with Addriacchi and DiFronzo retired. Some people think Addriacchi still in charge and some also think DiFronzo still holds top boss position in name only till he dies.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
Thanks for the birth dates Cavita. So Cautadella is the youngest of the reported current leadership at 65. Now if Solly stays at boss for 10 years he would be 88,Vena 78 and Cautadella 75. They definitely need some young blood or they will be Pittsburgh or Cleveland in around 10 years. I read a list of possible members and only a few were under 60.
Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
They are certainly heading that way. The youngest confirmed made men I can think of like magnafichi are in their 50's. Supposedly difronzo is the one who put the brakes on making new guys back in the 90'sFrank wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 5:14 pm Thanks for the birth dates Cavita. Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
I'm starting to wonder if there even is a set boss underboss etc. I have a hard time seeing vena asking solly for permission to do something and vice versa. My guess is it is more like each boss handles things how they want and don't answer to anyone. That's just a guess as stated we don't really knowFrank wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 4:14 pm Yes your right if Vena as reported to be the chief executive and SolleyD being the top boss if all true. Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
DiFronzo is almost assuredly done with the Outfit. He's old and is having health problems. Pete DiFronzo probably handles any interests he still has.
From what myself and others have gathered, Andriacchi is the top guy. According to Scott, who has sources in the Chicago PD and the CCC, Solly D is next and Cataudella is #2. I'm not really sure where Vena fits in as street boss, but presumably he would be some type of conduit between the top guys and the street. D'Amico 's the real question mark but he may be sort of a 1B to Andriacchi, similar to how Accardo was to Ricca but on a smaller scale.

Re: Present Day Chicago Outfit
I would be surprised if it's Joey a. I've lived in that neighborhood for years and never see him around anymore. See many others around but never him. I heard since his wife died and he had cancer he was pretty much out. I know someone said he is around again so I could be wrong just going by what I've seen. Granted he's old so maybe he meets at his house and stays low key but he used to be around a lot more. Biggest presence you see around often are damico, dote, nick cataudella. Those guys are very activeSnakes wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 5:34 pm DiFronzo is almost assuredly done with the Outfit.

Nick is a guy you don't hear too much about. He's managed to stay under the radar for the most part.
