It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

That indictment came down in November 2002. 24 people were charged, including Caridi, acting captains John “Johnny Sideburns” Cerrella and Vincent “Vinny Casablanca” Mancione, soldier Vincent "Baldy" Salanardi,
as well as a couple Bonanno associates. The charges included bookmaking, loansharking, skimming thousands of dollars a night from Hudson & McCoy Fish House (including forcing the restaurant to purchase bread from Colombo soldier Salvatore "Sally Bread" Cambria), the takeover Sindarella's strip club and adult video store in Brentwood, bid-rigging and payoffs in the construction industry, and trafficking in cocaine, marijuana, and vicodin in Staten Island bars.
All roads lead to New York.

I wonder who the new leaders of the Lucchese will be. Joe C could be a part of it. Somebody has to be running it on the streets since the indictments.

I would imagine Brooklyn makes a grab if the Bronx is decimated.

Worth noting that Castelucci and Datello are Brooklyn/Staten Island guys that were busted with Crea. I think the Brooklyn vs Bronx Lucchese thing is overblown, maybe that was the situation during the Casso era but I haven't seen any evidence to show that is still the case.

I never said there was still a rift there. If that was the case Lastorino and Georgie would have gotten hit by Crea . All I said was that if the Bronx leadership was decimated then that leaves the Brooklyn guys to step up. Supposedly Amuso has a say in things still according to the newspapers at least. So maybe he will assigned someone from Brooklyn to step up. Someone was gonna replace Matty anyways because he is old as dirt and looking at a murder indictment. I would have imagines that would have been Crea had the murder indictment not come down. I haven't heard anything about Capra in yrs . I don't know if he is still active or just old. etc. who knows.
