I would say Zannino (until he went to prison not long after) and then probably Salemme or Russo

Zannino was indicted with the Anguilo's but he lasted on the street for a few more years before going away in 1987. DiNunzio was an Associate during this era.

So limone really had no qualifications other then going to prison for a long time to be boss?

Limone was an Acting Capo for a time in the 60s. I don't recall if Manocchio was made during this era.

Was he under patriarca or anguilos? Did boston ever break off from providence?

Exactly. Zannino faked heart problems to stay on the street for a few years. Many thought he could make a play at boss until he backed Junior.

So after anguilos went down. Basically boston was struggling and let junior patriarca be boss.
Where did cadilac Frank salame come in?

So.. Then eventually boston started becoming a little more stable bc its believed theyr the power now. So when and who started boston getting back on power spots? Would thay be like Louie shacks? Limone? Or di nunzios?

When rosetti flipped, who did he brknf down?

Salemme wasn't made until 1989. Except for his relateively brief reign as Boss in the 90s the power in the family was based in Providence. This was still true up till a few years ago.

So does this timeline sound right?

Larry zaninno was capo n powerfull capo under patriarca.
-jerry anguilo bought his button w gambling rackets n was made ub of new england and boss of boston. Zaninno was put under him.
-peter limone was capo and jailed.
-winter hill war started. Cadilac frank got his start w the flemmi brothers.
-both patriarca and anguilo were taken down around the same time. Boston lost its admin seat w new england.
-war started over leadership w patriarca jr. (jr russo on one side and jr on other?)
-louie shacks mannochio was providence and was capo after war.
-frank salame became boss for only a year(i believe) and soon flipped.
-louie shacks became boss but de luca soon brought him down.

-rosetti. Who was a capo flipped (who was boss at this time?)

-di nunzio and brother became admin spots making the power back in boston.
-peter limone gets released and won lawsuite over false imprisonment by fbi.
-cheeseman dinunzio get sent away for 5 years and unclear whether limone became ab or louie shacks

-now its believed limone is boss?

Don't forget, after Junior stepped down Nicky Bianco was boss until he went to prison. Not much is said about it, but I think he went along with J.R. Russo possibly when they killed Junior's underboss in Connecticut I think it was? I think his name was Billy Grasso.

Also with Gerry Angiulo, he wasn't immediately made underboss though. For a while it was Henry Tameleo but I'm not sure on the years he was underboss. By the time he was done, Angiulo was proving he could reign in Boston and that's when he became underboss.

On J.R. Russo he seemed to have gotten big once him and Zannino (who was already a powerful capo) killed Barbosa in California. Matter of fact Russo was in hiding for quite a few years after that as they were worried he would be indicted on the murder, but I don't think the Feds never had enough to even indict him.

It seems Baby Shacks is totally out of the game and was out before he was even sent away. Seems these days many say the Cheeseman is boss and some say Limone. I would probably lean Cheeseman but it's not like I have any inside info or shit like that.
