So Del Balso gets brought in to police station and tells the cops that he had control of the book but gave control to Leo, Steve and some other guy when he went to prison. Then tells the cops that he wanted it back when he got out and also that Leo put $400,000 on his head??? Why tf would he tell the police all that info?
That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

Some great footage of Del Balso at the rental place renting the Porsche SUV used in the attempt on Leo. Why would Del Balso himself go rent the vehicle and not send one of his guys? Got his ass on camera along with the Rocheburn guy

Carlos Pena Torrez’s criminal matter in Quebec — allegedly was trying to locate and shoot Francesco Del Balso but shot the wrong man — will be addressed again on August 10 at the courthouse in Laval. On the same day, so will the matters for the two suspects in the attempted murder of Leonardo Rizzuto — same case number and courtroom for these latter two suspects. I want to say that this scheduling of the dates is a coincidence, but there may be something else at play here.
Cross-posting. Pena Torrez was also sentenced earlier this week in a Newmarket, Ontario courthouse this past Monday for a shooting in Schomberg, also in Ontario.

13 years, that's it? In the states you would get 15 years for the shooting itself, another 20 for conspiracy to murder under RICO statutes or some bullshit

Welcome to the Canadia Justice System. One of the main differences from the US justice system is the soft sentencing. For example life without parole doesnt exist. We passed a law that, in cases of multiple murders, allowed the "25 to life" sentences be served consecutively instead of concurrently, giving us an effective life sentence, and our supreme court struck it down.

Has there been any discussion between politicians and lawmakers on changes to sentencing guidelines or arrests to at least give the look that they want all this OC crime violence to stop? You can't say it's just gangsters killing gangsters up there.

I assume it's a man. But based on their photo I can't tell if it's a man or a woman.

It is not really discussed at all and politicians never seem to campaign on it. Not sure why. Every once in a while something will trigger public outrage. We are just not tough, comeptent, or sophisticated at fighting organized crime.

In Canada all criminal law is passed by the federal government. In the US each state has a law against murder as well as the federal government. The provinces in Canada do not have this option.

In Canada by law you are eligible for release after you serve two thirds of your sentence for most sentences. And can apply after only serving one third.

Also because we do not have a life without parole sentence it leads to some really sickening parole hearings. Prime examples are Paul Bernardo and Clifford Olson. The families often have to give multiple victim impact statements over the years.

In my opinion I feel like the police in Canada are more competent then we are in the states. f you watch any show about cops and criminals, they speak about mounties? (Canandians on horseback) in glowing terms. Like these criminals get away with all this sh*t then some guy on horseback comes in galloping in 3 feet of snow and the criminal waves the white flag...
