Same pronunciation but different spelling. Fraire is the old word for frère, but it is no longer used (yes we have a very complicaed language)

We see similar trends in the other families. We almost never see guys in their 20s indicted for LCN crimes anymore. Not many in their 30s either.

To add to this. The big Philly case in 2020 had 15 defendants. Out of the 15 indicted only 2 were under the age of 55 (33 and 41) and the 33 year old wasn’t Italian.

Here is Colombo indictment that I’m talking about.

Looking over other cases over the last few years we see the same phenomenon. It is clear that LCN today is almost exclusively made up of middle aged to elderly men.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Would have to agree with Sonny I think. There will be plenty of young guys vying for attention in New York of all places. Society on the decline, education on the decline, opportunities on the decline etc. there will be plenty of young gangs doing the rounds and leaning into a life of crime full time. This will be the case in most major cities let alone New York. Whether they are Italian or other minorities is a different matter but New York seems to be getting worse rather than better overall and that tends to lead into a rise in gangs, crime and whatnot

Yes your verb conjugations are effing torture for a non-native and Japanese is vastly simpler.

Of course I'm aware that English is pretty nasty in the same way for non-natives. :)

Ah? I didn't know they spelled it that way in Quebec. It must be on buildings and written in old French I guess.

Thanks for the info mon frère 8-)

I confirm, among other things, I often struggle with your irregular verbs

(sorry for this linguistic digression guys)

Check out Quebec language laws for a laugh. They put 'Arret' on the Stop signs.

Google the swear words. They're all church based. Tabernac!

I believe we can recall one of Pennisi's videos where he mentioned he was at a dinner with other members and the Luccheses vocalized difficulty finding new members to bring in.
