2 questions for you Dante, Do you know where in Sicily the Schifilliti name come from & do you know how old Pino is? (Anthony on the show was hilarious; let alone him trying to pick between two women)NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 2:37 pmThat picture looks like it was taken at Beacon 70 in Brick at the Jersey Shore, great spot with a lot of hot broads. I know Pino’s Nephew Anthony very well, he was on some TLC dating show called MILF Manor and owns Nino’s Coal Fire Pizza in Brick, good spot.

Pino lives close to me in Toms River, he’s a short, little friendly Old Sicilian Man. Always wants to pet my dog when I see him outside when the weather is nice, walking my dog. I have no clue where in Sicily he was born, I have never asked him. He’s gotta be pushing 90 years old and was away a very long time, his wife was still able to keep their house and lifestyle all those years Pino was away. I would bet he’s between 85-90 years old.

How much time in prison did he actually do (longest stint)? U thought he was convicted in middle 2000s and it was overturned on appeal in 2008?NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 6:44 pm Pino lives close to me in Toms River, he’s a short, little friendly Old Sicilian Man. Maybe, most well known, but not powerful imo. I am not going back it up with any facts.furiofromnaples wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:11 amThe most powerful family out NY is Philadelphia. Even in the old days the Lucchese and Genovese NJ factions was more powerful then the DeCavalcantes.

Pino was born in 1938 in Sicily, he settled in Elizabeth and moved like all the Italians to Toms River in the early 90s.OmarSantista wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 5:25 pm2 questions for you Dante, Do you know where in Sicily the Schifilliti name come from & do you know how old Pino is? Probably he is from Messina as his surname is very common there.
His daughter was married to Joseph Merlo and I suspect his
son to be a member very close to Anthony DeMaio Jr.
In the 90’s he was caporegime of Amari’s crew (Frank Guarraci,Francesco Gatto, Girolamo Guarraggi, James Castaldo) and was involved in labor racketeering (asbestos) and loan-sharking, and at some point he held an interest in the Rockafella’s By The Sea restaurant.
He was sentenced to life but it was overturned and he was realesed in 2015.

Jimmy Gumps Palermo was the owner of Rockafella’s By the Sea in the Ortley Beach section of Toms River, my buddy worked there as a Busboy when we were in High School and the stories he would have are utterly amazing.Massive-Sail wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 2:14 amPino was born in 1938 in Sicily, he settled in Elizabeth and moved like all the Italians to Toms River in the early 90s.OmarSantista wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 5:25 pm2 questions for you Dante, Do you know where in Sicily the Schifilliti name come from & do you know how old Pino is? Jimmy Gumps Daughter married my Moms best friends son/ my neighbor growing up - the Italian Community here in Toms River is extremely tightknit/close.
However , we have Hasidic/Orthodox Jews starting to takeover now , it’s scary to see them starting to move in here in Droves. I just can’t see all the Italians here giving up their waterfront homes to them though , but they’re really starting to even takeover Toms River. It’s sad to watch develop before your eyes.

I’m pretty sure that Pino Schifilliti is Eastern Sicilian, I believe from Messina.

Someone here said that Sal Timpani was importing zips from Messina.
I knew that there was a guy from Calabria that was in Elizabeth and worked for DeMaio Sr. and was good friend with others like Timpani,Jimmy Gumps and Majuri.
I believe he was also arrested but he lives in Italy now.

The hasidics are a disease and once you got it there's no coming back from it they replicate to fast, they max out one area and move on to the next.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 8:29 am However , we have Hasidic/Orthodox Jews starting to takeover now , it’s scary to see them starting to move in here in Droves.
It wasn't me who said that but I can cosign the fact that the Jersey family has quite a few geeps around them. Whether they're purposely being imported I can't say but they have a bunch of them under their flag.Massive-Sail wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2024 12:39 pm Someone here said that Sal Timpani was importing zips from Messina.

Honestly I have no problem with normal everyday run of the mill Jewish people. I grew up in Canarsie and it was all Italians, Irish and Jews but they were the kind of Jews that went to the same schools as us, dressed like us, hung out with us and were a part of the community. These hasidics and orthodox aren't anything like that and I loathe them for it.
Re: How is active the DeCavalcante family?
I’m just fucking with you brother. I live in South Jersey and don’t really see many hasidics, even though Cherry Hill has a very Jewish population.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 2:08 pmHonestly I have no problem with normal everyday run of the mill Jewish people.
