I guess I just had no idea that Dublino was in any way tied to the outfit. I thought he was some punk, independent video poker guy. The argument That I was referencing took place supposedly in 2002 outside a bar. I don't think Chicago is the type of city where anyone just independently moves into video gambling machines - and being Italian from Berwyn, I think its too far-fetched to assume Dublino wasn't connected somewhere. I've got excellent Chicago sources who told me Dublino's brother (Pasquale Dublino) is a very violent individual who is well-known.

Granted this was 2010-11, but anyone who doesn’t Understand how the outfit could possibly exist in this century needs to spend a weekend in Bridgeport around some of those families(Carusos/Szaflarskis/LaMantias/LaPietras, etc). It’s insanely insular and tight knit. There is more than enough there to facilitate a mob crew . Same with the Elmwood Park/Melrose Park area. I can’t speak to the grand Avenue or Cicero areas, but I’ve seen that culture with my own eyes in those other two spots. It’s small, but it’s still alive.

That's a 60/40 split those machine owners are getting - doing the math that's $11K on the low end ($11K a week total across all machines) - clearing roughly $50K a month. That's on the low end - and these guys got multiple companies and are constantly growing customers. It's a lot of money - worth fighting and killing guys over apparently.
