2004:
Anthony "Tony" Moscatiello

Moscatiello came up in the 90s under Joseph Corozzo and made a name for himself as a trusted associate. By the early 2000s he was around Alphonse Trucchio and was indicted in 2003 alongside Trucchio. He was released from prison in July 2004 and was inducted into the Gambino family following his release. He caught a DUI charge, violated his parole and was jailed again from April to June 2005. Moscatiello was considered the number three man in the Trucchio crew behind Al and Michael Roccaforte. They were often referred to as the triumvirate of “Al, Roc and Tony” Moscatiello was a cocaine abuser like others in the Trucchio crew. He bought cocaine from associate Salvatore Tortorici on a weekly basis.
Was Al Trucchio a cocaine user?

The Gene Borello book has Ronnie G being made in 1994, Mike Palmaccio in 2002 and Mike Padavona in 2011. It clarifies that Padavona was supposed to be made in the same ceremony as Ronnie G but he ended up in a beef with John Gottis son Peter shortly before it which led him into an argument with Vinny Asaro and so he was pulled from that ceremony and held down by Asaro for many years.

In the early 1950s John Robilotto sponsored Alfred Eppolito and John 'Jake' Morelli for membership.

Wonder the exact year Robilotto got made. He was a Genovese associate who couldn't be made because of an immediate relation to a cop but he was then released and made by Anastasia.

According to Genovese CI Info, Joseph Scarpinito was made in or around 1956 and was sponsored by Peter DeFeo.

Pogo what's the source for O'Nofrio's 2003 induction? In Arillotta's recent Vlad interview about ¾ in he says after he was off the street in 2010 he heard O'Nofrio was inducted. He said he was proposed by Bruno in 2003 but of course Bruno ended up killed and O'Nofrio "ran away" and didn't end up getting inducted.

Yeah he was supposed to be made in 2003. John Ardito and Pasquale Deluca were going to travel to Springfield or Connecticut (can't remember off the top of my head) to induct O'Nofrio and four other guys some of them from Boston, Connecticut etc but the ceremony didn't end up going ahead. John Bologna claimed in his 302's that O'Nofrio was knocked back. He was still on a proposed members list that was seized in December 2007. viewtopic.php?p=264704#p264704 And I remember seeing him named in an affidavit from 2004/2005 and he was still listed as an associate in Ianniello's crew.

Right I do remember you sharing that. So it looks like his induction was somewhere around 2010-2012ish. Thanks Johnny.

Does anyone know if the Genovese ever had a period where they really slowed down on making new guys?

I recall the Onofrio comment on someone (either Patsy or Danny) not letting any new guys in, but not sure when that comment was made.

Your question reminds me of a comment Gotti made to Chin at a commission meeting stating the Genovese had over 30 slots to fill and Chin said they would fill those slots when they were ready.

Not sure what year that was though.
