John Gambino was considered to be the most influent Gambino family member until his death.
Most powerful groups: Camuso's crew, Filipelli's crew, Corozzo's crew, Marino's crew.
Gene Gotti is likely asking for a position and most of all, money.
Source is 100% valid. Can't add more about it.
Peoples thoughts on what current situation is?
Camuso crew and Filipelli crew definitely seem to be very strong. Both have big money guys, heavily involved in construction.
Do we think Marino crew is still active? Marino crew historically had guys like Johnny G and Big Billy Scotto, any other members we can identify as being part of this regime?
Lanni crew comes from the 18th Avenue Mannino crew, I’d think? This crew has a lot of juice. Wouldn’t be surprised if Lanni is part of admin at some point.

Is that what I said?
Stick with Capeci, that's usually a solid strategy. But whether they made anyone in that crew or not, there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity. And by that I mean virtually none. The article by Capeci revealed family members of DeVita and the two other known guys in the crew have ILA jobs. OK. But when there's been nary a peep since the mid-1990s otherwise, one starts to wonder. At least I do.TommyGambino wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 2:45 am So Devita wasn’t a powerful captain in 2020 because there are no cases and to your knowledge are barely any members left in his crew, they made nobody then. Think I’ll stick with Capeci on that one
I'll go even further than that. I said recently I'm pretty much of the position the DePiro (formerly Fiumara/Coppola) crew is the only Genovese crew based in New Jersey at this point. And if you look at the cases over, say, the last 15 years, they bear that out.
I question whether they ever really split and there being two crews. And the Marino case didn't involve kiddie porn. Among the rackets they were running an escort service. One of the girls was underage, 15 if I remember right.JeremyTheJew wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 11:56 amDidnt they "merge" back after the kiddie porn kinda lost him some respect?
All roads lead to New York.

Damn that's a hell of a story. Does anyone know if the Scotto kid is related to Billy?
Also mentioned a couple guys going away for 15 years for the Frank Hydell murder. One of them is Thomas Dono who got out 2 years ago and is currently 49. This article says "Around 2001, Dono was proposed for induction as a "made" member of the Gambino family as a reward for murdering Hydell, the indictment further states."

Does anyone know if Dono ended up getting straightened out? If he wasn't he's probably one to keep an eye on being made over the next few years.

Re: Current Gambino family administration
Filipelli Crew / Background:
Louis Filipelli’s uncle was Arnold “Zeke” Squitieri, these guys all used to hang at The Pleasant Cafe on Pleasant Ave and East 118th Street back in early 2000s. Louis has a brother Anthony.
If still involved, I’d think Zeke’s son, Arnold “Bo” Squitieri Jr is part of Filipelli crew.
The Filipellis/Squitieris/Siscas all connected/related.
Alphonse Sisca, Jr. Ran an ambulette company located at 1174 Commerce Ave. in the Bronx.
Ed Sisca (funzy Sisca son) involved in construction. Owned a couple companies back in late 90s, FPC Contracting and Technical Construction, with Louis Filiepelli being involved with Technical Construction. In 1999, Ed Sisca and the companies were charged and convicted in a couple New York State racketeering cases for stealing money from city and bid rigging. Ed had a Kerik connection which is interesting: https://nypost.com/2004/12/16/kerik-mob ... ontractor/
Chris Sucarato (son of old time east Harlem bookmaker/gambler Nick Sucarato). Wouldn’t surprise me if he got made at some point.
Dominick Como, used to drive Funzi Sisca.
Michael Widing, used to run gambling at Pleasant Cafe, was very close to Filipelli.
Angelo “Skippy” Amen, close to Filipelli. Used to run Amen Construction, now runs big non union carpentry co. Did a long prison stretch for heroin trafficking.
Daniel Abbate, owned building at 1174 Commerce Ave, the Bronx, which had offices for both the Sisca ambueltte company as well as Angelo Amen’s construction co.
Frank Mahoney, involved in drugs/gambling, was close to Filipelli
Crew would frequent a social club at 3194 Westchester Ave, the Bronx, not far from Balsamo Funeral Home.
Some of this is dated but wonder if any of these guys still around.
