Wow I drive by here every night coming from the gym haha.. I never heard of him or the Bufalino member who lived in Bethlehem.
Do you have anymore history of the Allentown area?
I’ve always wondered about Allentown and Bethlehem but know nothing about their mob history, so I’d be interested to know more myself.
Definitely, especially when Bethlehem steel was in operation. Giving the location of the area and with all industry, I’m surprised it wasn’t much of a hot bed of OC like Youngstown

The home of reputed Rockford LCN boss Salvatore Galluzzo at 4812 Woodridge Road. The guy was worth a few million but lived here from the late 1960s until his death in 2016.
Nothing wrong with that...why draw attention to yourself with the FBI and IRS? Many of the old timers, especially those who truly lived by a secret society, lived very modestly because they didn't want anybody to know what they were doing.
True and smart
+1. Obviously there were guys in NYC that were like this too (often the old school guys from direct Sicilian backgrounds), who kept modest homes, didn’t drive flashy cars, and dressed like normal blue-collar types. But the smaller Families in other parts of the country clearly prioritized secrecy and maintained relatively low-key lifestyles in accordance. I could totally see guys used to seeing gaudy McMansions of more recent NYC guys (replete with tacky chromed out accessories and faux-Roman statuary etc) and concluding that guys in other Families were just a bunch of brokesters and slobs, when the latter aesthetic has always been marked within the Sicilian mafia itself (Totò Riìna, Don Calò Vizzini in his overalls in his pig field, etc).
Chicago is a great example, as it was often the case that associates and wannabes were flashier than made guys, and being seen as a spaccone was not a good look (eg, Joey Lombardo banning his guys from owning Cadillacs because he had to drive a Dodge to maintain a low profile, living in the same old apartment in the Patch most of his life while running the Vegas skim and bribing a US Senator, taking away Mikey Swiatek’s big stupid gold chain for outshining his boss, etc).
There were exceptions in all families across the nation who lived large. Tony Accardo being one of them which struck me as odd since he was pretty low key in his OC career. Paul Castellano, Tony Salerno, Vinny Palermo & Jerry Angiulo just to name a few.
"I figure I’m gonna have to do about 6000 years before I get accepted into heaven. And 6000 years is nothing in eternity terms. I can do that standing on my head. It’s like a couple of days here."

Wow that's a beautiful place! Would love to see more NE guys houses
Agreed. Barrington is a beautiful suburb of Providence that is right on the Narragansett Bay and about 20 minutes from Federal Hill. It’s also one of the more affluent towns in RI, so no surprise the Zestinate is nearly $2M. One thing I noticed that was interesting was when I looked at the properties previous transactions, it was sold for $580k in 1988 then the next sale was in 2013 for $300k before being sold in 2018 for $1.2M (original asking price was $1,595,000). I believe Ruggiero bought the property in 2013, so definitely interesting what the story behind the steep discount he bought the house for originally.
Regarding Ruggiero, he is an interesting character as he’s involved with a bunch of businesses in RI/southern MA. In addition to the car dealerships, he also owns Ledgemont Country Club in Southeastern MA so he’s got his name on a lot of legitimate assets. In this 2009 article, he’s quoted as saying he owns over 100 properties in Barrington and the surrounding communities. https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/archi ... 719867007/
3611 Bently Drive, the home of Rockford LCN associate Joseph "Pep" Fiorenza. When Fiorenza was arrested in the 2006 gambling case, the government wanted to take possession of his house but I'm the end he was sentenced to three year's probation, an electronic monitoring device, 150 hours community service and he was fined $10,000 and ordered to forfeit an additional $46,000.
