Salamone's guy was Marco D'Amico - I really have no idea where he would be today. He was essentially Marco's front when they were trying to get the casino in elgin years ago - Marco used the Salamones and Nick Boscarino. I know one Salamone has a criminal record I am not sure if that's Vito or Joe.

The Salamone kids went to Bradley University and opened a chain up on campus down there while they went to school - Vito was interviewed by the school paper down there in Peoria yada yada - I know who Robert DiDiana is - he is a gambler. I think he was going broke when he did the arson deal that seemed like it was really shitty attempt - Vito got him back in business - I tend to view that guy like Tony Soprano's buddy at the sporting goods store. Didiana lives in Darien same neighborhood as Toots if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe. I feel like I’ve seen him claimed to be linked to both EP and the Southside. It may be that these guys are partnered with guys in both groups.

Yeah that was my understanding, that the Salamones were hooked up with D’Amico, who of course seems to have also been something like a liaison or point man for the Outfit and likely Italian OC groups.

I suspect the same with Di Diana. The arson thing was a desperation move. I imagine that Salamone got his hands into the Bacci empire due to Di Diana’s gambling and/or other debt.

If I'm not mistaken Salamone Sr. married a Giannola - I am not entirely sure whether she was connected to Needles, but I know the brother in law was part of the business and that became fairly successful because of his connections - so it could have been Needles or perhaps another brother. They grew up in Norridge.

I'd love to know more - interesting when you see these guys suing each other and disclosing assets in court.

When I looked into it, I wasn’t able to confirm a direct relationship between their mother and Needles Gianola. It’s possible that there was one, but it could be farther back.

Must have been a split and they are bickering about it. See the two attachments. From a Facebook post yesterday, Capri by Gigi says they are not. If you go to Capri Express website it says that they are affiliated.

Lots of interesting info on a little known Outfit guy. I think the big question for him now is where he fits in in the current day Outfit. According to this article he doesn’t seem well liked.

What I find very interesting in this article is the beef between him and Bobby Dominic. Dominic was also heavily involved in the porn business and didn’t he work for Glitta too? Matassa was Glitta’s driver. You would think they worked together in the 80s.
