I considered that too. It's very possible that Camigliano is the correct choice. I didn't look up Bernardo di Bernardo's birth record, so you might be right.PolackTony wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:56 pmI agree that it most likely is Corigliano Calabro. FWIW, Di Bernardo is a surname in Corigliano too.
EDIT: Actually, looking over some documents, Camigliano, Caserta may also be an option. The birthplace of both Bernard and his wife Marianna Di Iorio was spelled "Canngrello" on his naturalization document, so not much help.
On his naturalization document, Bernardo gave his birth year as 1870 and there is a birth document for a Bernardo di Bernardo in Camigliano in 1870.

Was John Mingoia, b 1923, a Jersey guy? This might be him- https://obits.nj.com/us/obituaries/jers ... =172179831
Also, Joseph Paul LoPiccolo, b 04/28/1918 matches with someone with that name/date as being born and having died in Chicago whose parents were from Monreale and Palermo. Not saying that someone can't move from their hometown, join the mafia in another city and then move back home to die but it did raise my eyebrows, especially since there were LoPiccolos in NY you'd expect a JPL to have been born closer to home.

Re: Gambino 1980 Hierarchy
Given his ancestry from Monreale and Metro Palermo, it could make sense that he wound up falling in with the Gambinos, maybe via familial connections.Chris Christie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 6:44 am Also, Joseph Paul LoPiccolo, b 04/28/1918 matches with someone with that name/date as being born and having died in Chicago whose parents were from Monreale and Palermo. Villain identified him as a Chicagoan previously:
Villain wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:59 am @Polack you ever heard of one Joe LoPiccolo who was a former Chicagoan and by the mid 1930’s served for the Mangano crime family in New York and in time also became close associate of the Tampa crime family? Im asking this since LoPiccolo was allegedly one of the main guys regarding narcotics shipments for Chicago and the midwest

Yes, this is the Gambino member. I didn´t know he was born in NJ. The obituary you posted earlier is not the Gambino member.Chris Christie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:27 am Name

Questions about the Lombardozzis:
Firstly, they are from Isernia, Molise right?
I have four-
Lombardozzi Carmine John 2/18/1913
Lombardozzi George 8/14/1941
Lombardozzi John Joseph 1925
Lombardozzi Paul John 2/3/1915
Carmine and Paul are bros from Camillo Lombardozzi and Nunziata Antonelli. Where do the younger George and John fall into the bloodline?

Because that's my own experience. I even went to wholesale stores and no cigar.
