Without knowing a ton about the disappearance other than basic info out there, I find it hard to believe they’d kill him in Michigan and then drive his body halfway across the country to dispose of it. Seems so insanely risky.

While I don’t know if it’s true when you think about it by the time they realized he was missing he would have been hundreds of miles away on a gateway transportation truck while he’s been searched for in Detroit. Not saying it’s most plausible but I could kinda see how that could make sense other than the fact your driving across the country with bones of a very famous person

That’s a good point. Maybe bury him elsewhere to avoid him being dug up during inevitable full on searches in Michigan. What a case.

I think Hoffa was probably one of the highest non mafia figures to get killed. It's not like dumping him in the streets was gonna make a point. They had to make him disappear. We also assume he was murdered in Detroit. But all points aside, this body hunt for Hoffa is a circus. Never say never, but I dont think they'll ever really find his body.

I like Bill Bufalino’s theory. The CIA took him out. Made it look like the mob.

The simplest answers are likely the truth in the Hoffa disappearance, i.e....

He was killed by the mob (the motive being obvious)

His body was disposed of as quickly as possible (in the Detroit area)

Relatively few people knew or had involvement in the murder (but the likely ones have been identified)

Nearly 40 years later, those who know or were involved have likely all died

It's a virtual certainty at this point his remains will never be found
