The Pizza connection episode (from memory)

- Pennisi did time with Philip Ragosta and Salvatore Spatola who were associates of Pasquale Conte.

- Ragosta and Spatola were convicted of shooting Pietro Alfano, nephew of Gaetano Badalamenti.

- An inmate named "Bobo Sorenson", who was close to Jimmy Burke, called Spatola a rat and refused to shake his hand.

- It almost came to a fight between Sorenson and Spatola but other inamtes stepped in between them.

- Pennisi and others didn't belive Sorenson, but Pennisi found out years later that it was true, Spatola had been a confidential source.

- Ragosta and Spatola were deported to Italy after finishing their sentences.

I found the old eps on Spotify. No video but something to listen to.
Yeah, but you don't see him writing about the Crea/Madonna stuff much.

I would bet its a combination of the feds and what someone said earlier, JP wasn't as into it as Tom was. The trolling stuff really got under his skin.

1: Peter Pan Headed to the Can

- Early 2015
- Received a call from Cerrella asking him to meet him at the diner on Crossbay Boulevard in Howard Beach
- Cerrella sitting with DeSena
- DeSena explained there was a problem with his wife's nephew, who was causing him a lot of problems
- Tuccio was a wannabe who would latch onto Friends
- Giallanzo was an acting captain who had bad blood with Tuccio
- Tuccio was in a texting war with some guys in Giallanzo's crew
- Padavona would later be acting for Giallanzo
- Palmaccio was the only one who got along with Tuccio
- Giallanzo did not like the good relationship between Tuccio and Palmaccio
- Giallanzo gave Palmaccio the order to beat up Tuccio or be shelved
- Tuccio heard of this from Palmaccio, so he went to DeSena for protection
- Pennisi knew Giallanzo and had been introduced to Palmaccio and Padavona
- DeSena tried to reach out to Padavona but he did not get back to him
- Giallanzo did not get back to DeSena because they did not want to sit down and settle the dispute without a beating
- DeSena asked Pennisi to go talk to Giallanzo
- Padavona married Bobby Amuso's daughter
- Amuso had owned a boat house on Crossbay where the Giallanzo crew hung out
- Pennisi went there but no-one answered at the boat house
- Pennisi went to Giallanzo's newly constructed house even though Giallanzo was on paper
- Pennisi explained why he was there
- Giallanzo began talking about how Tuccio was a punk
- Pennisi said Tuccio was the Lucchese Family's punk and he shouldn't be touched
- Giallanzo explained Padavona was acting for him (even though he himself was acting) and he should talk to him
- Pennisi explained about the boat house and about how DeSena could not reach Padavona
- Giallanzo called DeSena an errand boy
- Giallanzo was childhood friends with DiBenedetto
- Padavona and Palmaccio were planning to get Tuccio that night
- Pennisi went back to the diner and met with DeSena
- Pennisi said he'd try to get to Padavona the next day but recommended telling Tuccio not to leave his house
- Cerrella called Pennisi again the next morning to go to DeSena's house because the situation had gotten worse
- The night, Giallanzo's crew had set off the alarm on Tuccio's car to trick him into coming outside and they gave him a beating
- DeSena asked Pennisi to keep Tuccio with him
- Pennisi and Cerrella met Tuccio
- Tuccio talked about how he knew Palmaccio, Joe Caridi, and a bunch of other guys
- Around December, Tuccio asked Pennisi to meet him at Woodhaven House in Queens
- Tuccio was there at the bar with Jonathan Gurino (nephew of Anthony and Caesar, Gambino captains)
- Tuccio and Gurino got involved in an incident with a pizzeria owner who owed money to Gambino captain Ignazio Alogna
- Pennisi was annoyed because Tuccio did not come to him for permission
- They torched the guy's car and one of their friends took a video
- Tuccio would always send Pennisi photos and videos of things
- Tuccio showed Pennisi the video of the car
- Pennisi told Tuccio to delete it and never send it to him (Pennisi)
- Gino Gabriello accidentally set himself on fire and they took him to the emergency room
- Pennisi told them they'd all get arrested and they should go on the lam
- Giallanzo and his crew had a wild reputation
- Giallanzo gave a brutal beating to someone who is now a Friend with the Gambinos
- Giallanzo was very much like Vincent Asaro
- They were making big money in loan sharking
- The Tuccio situation was a big slight to DeSena
- Pennisi suggested grabbing an associate of Giallanzo's crew and doing the same to him
- DeSena did not entertain the suggestion, which made him look weak
- Giallanzo was able to meet Padavona because he (Padavona) had no record
- DeSena, as an associate, was traded from the Gambino to the Lucchese Families
- Blaise Corozzo told Pennisi that the Gambino Family got the bad end of the deal by trading DeSena
- DeSena was not a tough guy
- Gurino likely got involved first in the pizzeria dispute and Tuccio volunteered himself
- DeSena should have taken an issue to the Gambino Family about Tuccio's involvement
- Pennisi introduced Tuccio to Merlino
- Tuccio was banned from Matteo's Restaurant in Howard Beach for starting a fight with a bartender
- Matteo's was a Gambino place
- Merlino, Pennisi, and DeSena met one night at Matteo's and talked about how much trouble Tuccio was
- Merlino laughed and wanted to meet him
- They went to a bar called CJ's and Pennisi told Tuccio to meet him there
- Tuccio then got in touch with Merlino over instagram

2: The Role of the Associate in La Cosa Nostra

- Someone in law enforcement told Pennisi that they knew someone was likely going to be straightened out when they were being taken to wakes
- Some guys would treat associates like errand boys and get them to fix flat tyres
- Michael Rita was an associate with the Genovese Family, but Pennisi thought he was with Madonna
- Madonna wanted to straighten him out, but the Genoveses intervened and said no
- The Genovese Family decided to never induct or release Rita as a punishment for running to Madonna
- Pennisi got into a dispute with a Genovese associate only for DeSantis to stand up for him
- DeSantis told Pennisi that the Genovese Family did not stand up for their guys
- DeSantis was a soldier in the Castelucci crew at that time
- The sit down took place in Bayridge in front of a bagel store
- Danny Campo was around Dellorusso and later straightened out
- Pennisi never put anyone up to be straightened out
- Campo and John Arpino were straightened out because DeSantis wanted money guys
- "Patty" (inducted with Pennisi and Guzzo) was with DeSena and had been around a long time before he got straightened out
- Pennisi and Guzzo were around Castelucci for less than a year before they got made
- A lot of older guys getting straightened out now could not cut the mustard in the past

Chin, I really admire your note taking skills, you really managed to summarize things quite well. If you have more notes would you consider making a new thread and I'll pin it as a stickie or whatever it's called. Alot of info there which could be later used as sources.

Thank you for doing this.

Great work as always chin. The Gambino that Ronnie G beat up is Frank Radice. He paid for his button to protect himself.

John Gambino was fighting deportation in the mid 2000s. Both Gambino brothers did like 16 years. Joe Gambino is around 75 now.

I think Joe Gambino was seen meeting with Andy Campos and crew, I think it's mentioned in the recent Campos Indictment.

Oh wow, that’s good to know, so I’m guessing both Rosario & Joe are still active. Didn’t know Joe was a captain also. I don’t keep up with Pennisi stuff.

Didn’t know he was a captain or active at all. I wonder is his crew composed of mostly Sicilian guys?
