How fucking funny was it when Rupp says people come up to him and say 'hey you were on the Trashers' and he responds 'Yeah I also won a cup with the Devils'

The scumbag that was the high school coach who became the GM is hilarious throughout, they asked him did he check kids into the boards and he responded that cocaine is a helluva drug lol

I enjoyed this story. I follow hockey closely but wasn't familiar with the Trashers. Hard to believe Rupp signed with them. Looking back on all the fighting hijinks from the era highlights how much the sport has changed. Too bad it didn't dive into the Mafia angle more deeply. Happy to see the son landed on his feet after a tough stretch.

Such an interesting story, I remember reading about it years ago.

If Galante was bringing in so much money for the Westside, I’m shocked the higher ups didn’t put the kibosh on the whole idea of buying a team before they got started. I mean, being a gangster, even just as an associate, and doing something that high profile is just begging the FBI to indict everyone.

Finally got to this, very well done. Curious how he got in with Matty and the Westside, he didnt seem particularly heavy despite what all the people around him said. Seemed like a suburban soccer dad lol.
