Think Milano was also friendly with both Turchi and Casasanto, so that could've contributed to it

Examples from the Colombos:
Thomas Gioeli - Colombo acting boss whose cousin flipped (McLaughlin).
John Franzese - Colombo underboss whose sons flipped.
Michael Sessa - Colombo captain whose brother flipped.
Michael Catapano - Colombo acting captain whose cousins flipped (Franzese's sons).
Gregory Scarpa Jr. - Colombo acting captain whose dad was an informant.
Aurelio “Ray” Cagno - Colombo soldier whose brother flipped.
Dino Saracino - Colombo soldier whose brother flipped.
Anthony "Nooch" and Vincenzo Calabro - Colombo associates whose brother flipped.
Frank Campanella - Colombo associate whose brother flipped, unknown if he stayed in the life.
Wasn't Dennis Guzzardo related to Vito Guzzo or am I crazy?
Colombo soldier Frank Campione's son, who was only on the fringes of OC, also cooperated.

Nicky Whip wasn’t allowed back into the fold because his brother flipped on Ligambi in the 80s and when he got out he still kept in touch with his brother Eugene. Compound that to the fact that Ligambi was the boss when Nicky Whip got out and you can see why he wasn’t allowed back into the fold.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 9:56 amWhy would Philly bar Nicky Whip yet allow Dom Grande to hang around?NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 4:23 pm On the contrary Supposedly Nicky Whip wasn’t allowed completely back into the fold in Philly because of his brother Gino flipping . Dom on the other hand completely and totally disowned his own Father and hasn’t had any contact with him since he flipped when Dom was just a kid. Dom’s whole entire family also disowned Wayne Grande (his own brother, his wife, and Dom’s sister) They despise him. Can you see the difference now?
I have personally seen Nicky Whip two summers ago in AC with Stevie Gongs at a bar at The Borgata and have seen pictures of him on social media with head of 10th and O Johnny Garbs. So he hangs out with 10th and O guys and guys on the fringe of the fringe, he definitely doesn’t have any status whatsoever anymore of being straightened out or accepted back by the core group of Philly guys that’s for sure. He wasn’t allowed back into the fold.

speaking of Rossetti, Bobby Luisi Jr recently said that Mark was his Captain when he was involved with the Patriarcas. He also said that he still talks to Mark nowadays, seems he out of the can....davidf1989 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 3:06 pmI think it was only Mark Rossetti who was an informant but is now doing time in prison. Mickey Paradiso's brother Philip was an informant for the FBI according to these articles

Re: Mobsters that remained in the life despite a relative flipped
Outside of some of bits of information that came out from the Stephanelli tapes, we don't know a ton of details about how the old Scarfo crew reorganized. I'm sure some aligned with Merlino more than others. Divvied up to different crews. A lot of those guys look like their doing their own thing but there are still chains of command. People check in . The life isn't just about kicking up money and hanging on the corner, though there are elements of that. There are plenty of young guys that want to be hanging with Joey to keep him flush and his guys have the admin spots but there are other power bases in the family. These are different times, it isn't bomb squads shaking down random guys, most guys do their own things, take their shots, make their living and have guys to go through protocol when needed. They probably pass along something up the chain to keep peace. I don't think Whip got chased, he's just doing his thing.

What do we think Philly's at in terms of numbers these days? Total and on the street?

50 to low 50s total. About 40 of them on the street with half of them give or take being inactive.

Re: Mobsters that remained in the life despite a relative flipped
My count for Philadelphia currently is 42 confirmed living members (7 incarcerated, 35 on the street). Good portion of those on the street don't appear to be active. Taking into account that some members could've flown under the radar and the fact that there have been inductions since the 2015 ceremony, the most likely total membership figure is between 50 and 60. Then there's another 13 living (to the best of my knowledge) members who have flipped.

Re: Mobsters that remained in the life despite a relative flipped
Looking over my list again I have 45 members with 10 of them in prison. I don't remember if Mazzone and Grande got bail but if they didn't that would be 12 in prison. There are undoubtedly many more inactive members but I only noted the ones who have been confirmed to be inactive. Some of the ages may need updating.
Can anyone confirm if Dominic Rugnetta is still alive?

Thanks. Looking at it again I see that Canalichio was released a few months ago.
For the Boston members if I remember right GA said Borgesi made a half a dozen which would match up the number Luisi said. Though I want Nader if GA was basing that on Luisi's claim alone or if there is other info to confirm that.
