Is Pittsburgh alive?

Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
I don’t get how buffalo could be such if a far stretch for some people. It’s an unknown fact that seems to have more evidence than falseness. There’s a wiretap with a made guy saying to another made guy that he was promoted to underboss. Whether there’s 30 guys, whether he was promoted to underboss, that’s up for debate but clearly there is some lcn presence that seems large enough to be a full fledged family in buffalo. Even if it’s 15 made guys and 50 associates, that’s big enough to be a family, look at all the Canadian groups, they aren’t usually bigger than that but still very active. But I digress, that’s talk for another forum post. Anything that’s not explicitly stated by the federal bureau of idiots is not good enough for wiseguy.
Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
This Buffalo debate has been discussed to death, brought back alive and then discussed to death again. And besides, Wiseguy had already admitted to a humiliating defeat some time ago. He now is pushing for another fight, but I know, he knows and you know it's a lost cause.
That being said, everyone who now want to start another fight for Pittsburgh and see whether they can give WG, who was once undefeatable, another knock-out, can have a go.

13 identifiable members. Three of which are in their 90s or will be within a year. Not sure where you get 50 associates from. But I guess that was as good a random number to pick out of the air as any.Moscone65 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 1:30 pm I don’t get how buffalo could be such if a far stretch for some people. As I've pointed out before, if it wasn't for that 2017 drug bust, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. For years before that case, as well as since then, what have we seen? Essentially what one 2006 article called “small numbers of loosely associated individuals [getting] together to commit Mafia style crimes."
And does anyone deny the Musitano, Ivarone, and Luppino murders are more reflective of the unrest in Canada than anything in Western New York?
Er...when did this happen? Such a vivid imagination.Lupara wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 2:16 pm This Buffalo debate has been discussed to death, brought back alive and then discussed to death again. Heck, why stop with Pittsburgh? Maybe we need to go back to when the forums had 20 members for St. Louis, 30 members for Milwaukee, and 40 members for Kansas City. And towards the end of the RD forum's run, there were nearly 60 members listed for Detroit. Ah, the good ol' days when ignorance was bliss. That being said, everyone who now want to start another fight for Pittsburgh and see whether they can give WG, who was once undefeatable, another knock-out, can have a go.
All roads lead to New York.

For what it's worth, I hereby declare we should re-evaluate the status of all the families outside New York. A new thread for each family. Bring guys over from GBB so you have to discuss each family simultaneously with dozens of fierceful forum warriors. It will help keep you in shape.
Buffalo has shown that anything is possible.

Holy shit! I actually forgot about the "Risha Trifecta". out of sight, out of mind I guess, As a side note, although Pgh never really made it into the National leagues, we had something no other Family can ever take away from us - "Tex" Gill. True Sonny Cianutti is still around, but he's a remnant, not an active force. We still have the gambling, whether it be numbers, sports video or as we've seen lately, private big stakes card games,(mostly Hold-em). Jr
. is gone,Rodney,Porky, and the Rishas still have a nice book going. Dope still brings in some cash,as does the Gentlemen's Club business. The 1%ers still have some dealings with guys in the drug and extortion rackets, but a lot less now that Rooster has been thrown out of the Pag*ns. the Boilermakers local (154) and LIUNA (1085) still have a couple things going, and don't even wind me up about the Zappala/Porter Mob 'Family'.
the rishas are dead

Ten:Fifteen years from now this will be a reality.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 9:10 amAs I've said before, while I couldn't give a timeframe, I do think the day will come the LCN will only be found in the extended New York metropolitan area, i.e. the five NYC boroughs, Long Island, Westchester and the northern suburbs, Southwest Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey.aleksandrored wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 9:04 amThanks, so in a few years there would be no mafia shadow in those cities, I don't know what Philadelphia will be like, but I think LCN was restricted to New York and New Jersey.

Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
Calling the Decavs their own family is laughable, they can’t even make their own guys without permission and haven’t been able to for years. Those fucking guys can’t wipe their ass without asking NY for permission. They are probably less of a factor in NJ these days than the Todaro’s are in Buffalo. At least the Todaro’s are still loaded with cash while most of the Decavs are broke. I shared a cell with Rago for a year, he’s fucking broke. The Genovese strategy of chopping up the leftovers of other families started in the 80s with Philly. There are multiple FBI reports of the Genovese taking over the garbage business in NEPA and whatever remnants where left in Hazleton with the Scalleat’s. By rights Scalleat’s rackets should have went to Philly since they are still a viable family and that’s the family he was made into but they did not, they went to the Genovese.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 12:39 pmAnd then you woke up.
That's misleading. The DeCavalcantes are still their own family. They are affilated with the Gambinos.
And who would that be?A few rackets that are still going in NEPA were taken over by associates of the Genovese and Norristown is run by a made Genovese guy.
Again, what evidence is there about any "strategy" by the NY families moving into fill a void elsewhere?I think that strategy will continue in any of the cities/areas that have enough people/money to sustain a small racket or two. Pittsburgh will probably(if it doesn’t already) have somebody from the Genovese out there making a few bucks. The small time families are dead but making money in those areas has not. Somebody will fill the void.
I don’t disagree that the Pittsburgh, Bufalino, and Buffalo families are dead. I’m just stating that their are facts to show that the Gambino, Genovese and Sicilian’s from Canada are picking up the crumbs from areas that used to have decent money making rackets. They are the only viable families left that have the power and money to do so.

Why don’t you guys just make nyc5fams4life.com and stay there, or better yet, themobsisathingofthepast.net, fucking annoying with you guys always spewing the same shit when people just wanna talk and not be constantly shit down. Vattin a napule, tremonn’
