Mancuso is close to Vinny Badalamenti, Tommy DiFiore & Johnny Palazzolo. Are the latter 2 on the street? Bop locator says they are.

Mancuso shelved a group of powerful captains and he absolutely has to watch his back but he'd be a hard man to kill with the Feds watching his every move.

How did Mancuso get to the top anyway? He spent 25 out of last 35 years in jail. When he was out around 1995-2005 Massino's testimony makes it seem like he was mainly muscle/enforcer not exactly a senior executive type.

My guess is since he’s feared and respected. He killed his wife in 84, was implicated in the sciascia hit in 99, helped plan the Pizzolo hit in 04, and he has a tough crew of loyal guys in the Bronx. And if I was to guess, id say mancuso and his goons in the bronx were behind the Seccafico hit in 09. Fear can be a very powerful tool and it could’ve been a key factor in Mancuso’s rise to leadership.

Because of indictments, imprisonment, and defection of members higher in stature than him. Also got his foot in the door with a little help by who named him acting underboss. Was it Vinny or Massino?

Then there is also that grey area of time from when he was taken off the streets till 2013, as to how much power and control he maintained while in prison.

Then he would go to jail for the rest of his life, and he just got out. Im pretty sure he would try to avoid that as much as he can.
A bosses mandate can still be enforced without a dirt nap. Porky and junior are shelved. The End. No fuss, no muss. Will it send a strong message to avoid treasoning the boss? Nah. But neither will murder. How many bums did big paul have clipped? if anything its escalation see? The whole point of a sitdown and rulings is because everybody knows guys are going to talk and act out of turn. Its a given. You gonna clip everybody? Besides after a few years it might all become water under the bridge. Porkys money is enough of a motivation to forget holding a grudge.

Thats essentially what I’m saying, it wouldn’t make sense to whack anyone right now.
