Where did you hear this about being groomed to be allies ub?

He stated it on one of the many documentaries he did. It's on youtube.

I have seen interviewers refer to him as a mob boss to his face and he doesn't correct them, just nods his head when they ask those Pulitzer-winning questions in a phony incredulous tone like, "So as a mob boss, you're saying you had no problem ordering a murder or beating?" To which he looks down, smirks and gives some explanation about "the life".

I have to give him credit, though... he's really made the whole ex-mobster schtick work for him and he seems to get some of the better gigs when you compare him to some of the other desperate rat feebs who have tried to hit the circuit. I have no doubt that he was one of the more financially successful guys on the streets in his heyday, though I do question the weekly income he claims to have been making during the gas scam.

I'd love to go to one of Franzese's motivational speaking gigs and just pester him with questions about making ceremonies, history of various members, etc. "I'm here as a representative of the Black Hand Forum and I demand answers."

Most of his motivational gigs are Christian evangelism. He has discussed the making ceremony in several interviews and mentioned some names.

One thing I was confused about was he actually sonnys real son at the end of the book there's this story about how his mom says he really was his biological son they said he was adopted because they weren't married yet or something but I wasn't sure if that was BS
