Here you go, Nepa.

Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

If Sheeran was considered credible he would have been arrested. If it would get him on the news, Joe Coffey would arrest a mumbling drunken street bum if the heard them say they killed Gallo.

So what's up with the NYT editor who identified Sheeran? On what basis was their statement discredited?

It's just them passing around stories that they don't care about. To them it's all a joke. Actors, news editors, all knew or heard him say it, plus a detective, but he was never questioned or arrested. That means no one took him being the shooter as a realistic story. An arrest of Gallo's killer would have been a sensation, yet they ignored it?

Groucho The Troll will then question the Court Document's validity, which he can't read anyway. He doesn't believe the F.B.I. if they say something that bothers him, remember?

If we're going to play this game, post the court documents. What do you mean by court documents? Final rulings? Verdicts? Testimony?

Confederate, what is a court document?

OJ Simpson plead Not Guilty. Was found Not Guilty. It's in court documents.

A court document could mean a transcript. Again, the details of the OJ Simpson trial are in court documents. You wouldn't trust those. A court document doesn't prove anything. It's people talking.

I am not going by court documents. I'll go with every report I have seen, and I am the type very suspect of reports on the mafia. In all the years after it happened, no one disputed the rat who came forward out of fear saying him and Sonny Pinto did it. Common sense comes in to. Pistone has embellished, like when he wore those disguises saying a contract was out on him. If Sheeren did it, and told all these people, who are famous and close to law enforcement, he would have been arrested in a flash. By the way, they fucked up that hit by doing it in Matty Ianeillo's place while he was there. It got him publicity and more attention, and led to a life of nothing but problems after.

My point about the court documents was intended for Maxie. I don't have a strong opinion on Sheeran. I honestly don't care. I think you guys all bring up interesting arguments. That being said I think Pistone's take is interesting too.

That thing Pistone says about Capeci believing that Sheeran was the shooter is true. Capeci talks about it in the second edition of his idiot's guide to the mafia. Here's the link:

https://books.google.com/books?id=o64XJ ... lo&f=false

I remember reading this when it came out in like 2004 and thinking "Capeci actually believes that shit?".

Perhaps he shouldn't have chosen a life of crime then. Shit happens when you're in the mob. He may be lucky he didn't get caught in crossfire, such as that Bonanno mobster who became paralysed by a stray bullet during the three capos elimination. Now that really sucks instead of LE scrutiny that you get anyway when you're in the mob.

I'm pointing out that them killing him in there was a fuck up, and it brought Ianiello into the spotlight and made him a major target. I would assume in the mob you don't do that.
