Another arson in Montreal. The establishment is owned by Micheline Gallo, the wife of Tony Papa.

Re: Montreal Mafia status - Post Rizzuto Era
is she related to moreno gallo?
Re: Montreal Mafia status - Post Rizzuto Era
For many years, in published newspaper articles, she was reported as being Moreno's sister, and her husband, Tony Papa, was reported as being Moreno's brother-in-law. However, back in late 2016, I found a retraction in La Presse stating that Micheline Gallo is not Moreno's sister.

Lupara,
De Vito's wife was questioned by police on April 1, 2009, the day after their two daughters were found dead.
There was a previous trial in which the jury found her guilty of first-degree murder. The conviction was appealed, and it was overturned in 2013 -- she has been free on bail ever since the conviction was overturned.
Before the jury in this second trial was sequestered for deliberations regarding a verdict, the jurors were unaware -- and remained unaware -- of the previous conviction and it having been overturned on appeal in 2013.
The judge in this second trial will determine the sentence. The Crown is seeking 14 years before Sorella is eligible for parole; the defence lawyer is seeking the minimum 10 years. The Crown could have sought the maximum sentence of 25 years but chose not to.
I will have to look up where Sorella was detained after she was arrested -- hospital? -- and whether the period of detention counts for credit toward the upcoming sentence.

A photo of Giuseppe Focarazzo will be found accompanying the tweet by crime reporter Félix Séguin the other day — link to tweet is below.antimafia wrote: ↑Mon Dec 17, 2018 1:50 pmSILENT PARTNERZ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 17, 2018 12:55 pmanti, do you know if the Sal Cazzetta, Hells Angels leader, mentioned in the articleantimafia wrote: ↑Mon Dec 17, 2018 12:31 pm A timely article, given there was a recent discussion in another thread about Tony Mucci, as well as other probably/possibly made Bonannos, i.e., Arcadi, Frank Cotroni Jr., to whom Domenico Violi referred Vincenzo Morena.

Yes, they are one and the same.
A few weeks ago, there were some articles in late November and early December about the wedding of the influential Hells Angel Martin Robert and Annie Arbic, who is the daughter of Quebec narcotrafficker Sharon Simon (at one time the girlfriend of Sergio Piccirilli; I don't know whether they are still together). Three Journal de Montréal reporters co-authored an article that included a list of select wedding guests (I already know that posters outside of Canada can't read the article found at https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2018/ ... -dun-hells). Cazzetta and Salvatore Brunetti were among those listed. Following is an excerpt from the very bottom of the list:
Mafia italienne (clan Rizzuto)
- Miguel Torres
- Giuseppe Focarazzo
- Antonio Pietrantonio
- Antonio Lavaronne, de Hamilton
One of the authors of the article confirmed for me by a Twitter DM that "Lavaronne" should have been Iavarone. So this Antonio Lavaronne is probably Tony Iavarone, whose brother Al was murdered this past September in Ontario. I indirectly asked the reporter about Antonio Pietrantonio, who had sided with Sal Montagna in the quest to supplant the Rizzutos; the journalist didn't answer my question.
