Re: Andrew Scoppa
I'm reading the English version now and it's definitely frustrating how few pointed questions they seemed to ask Scoppa. They're less interested in the status, structure, etc, and more interested in fleshing out the details of the murders that occurred after Vito went away. it's still interesting to...

Re: General Mob Questions
Were the Cherry Hill Gambinos integrated into the Gambino Family or did they remain somewhat autonomous? Like if someone were theoretically made under the cherry hills, what is that person made into? The Gambino Family or the Inzerillo clan?

Why did the commission consult Joe Bonanno before the Galante hit? Would they have called it off if they didn't get his blessing?

Re: Japan's yakuza mob weakens
The stake to the heart for them was the fact that they registered their members with the government. They know exactly who is involved and at what level so when the Yakuza exclusion ordinances came down it was very easy to ostracize members. It's illegal to employ Yakuza members. They can't even buy...

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
Just want to piggy back onto one of the posts on the page earlier. It's a bold claim, but I think the Peace Bridge between Ontario and Buffalo could rival the importance of any southern border crossing (Mexico-US) when it comes to being a conduit for drug trafficking. Likewise for the more remote c...

The 1957 Palermo summit
I've always believed the purpose of the Palermo summit was to refine the details of the heroin pipeline, and that this was generally accepted as fact. I must have misremembered because during some reading the other day I saw that there weren't any first hand accounts of the meeting besides Tommaso B...

Re: General Mob Questions
Regarding the 1957 Palermo Summit: Given the participants of the meeting, is it likely that the heroin business wasn't discussed at all? I understand there are no first hand accounts and that there there is some disagreement concerning the nature of the meeting?

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
I've lived in Canada my entire life and had no clue there was an Italian mafia here until my mid 20's, blew my mind, too. The only OC I'd ever heard of or been exposed to was of the biker variety.

Leonardo's sister is also a lawyer and practiced at the same firm. I believe both worked on their father's extradition case.

Re: Violi, One thing I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around is how an Underboss in Canada would be useful to Buffalo? You ever seen a map? Cheech you're now doing what you just gave Wiseguy shit for🤦♂️ @Slumpy I think it could be a few reasons. One reason might be to strengthen the ties betwee...
