He was born in Philadelphia, raised in Camden, where Passalacqua operated like so many other members. Anthony Piccolo was an owner of the Medford Country Club where Sparacio and his cousin/associate Blaise Salvatore worked from.
I didnt know PIccolo owned the club. Makes sense now why it was a hangout for those guys.

I've tried to figure out where Sparacio's family is from but haven't narrowed it down. I'm curious because there were a number of Sparacios from Belmonte Mezzagno which was one of the most important early Sicilian groups in Philadelphia/South Jersey. I found an Ignazio Sparacio (Shotsie's father's name) who married a Cappello in Philly in 1915 but not sure it's the right one. There were other Ignazio Sparacios from Belmonte in Vineland and NYC.

I remember that quote. "All my life, all I ever did was book."

That poor guy was nothing like the rest of the Stanfa mob and got 30 years anyway.

Eh it is no big deal. It is good to check on these guys since a lot of times their deaths fly under the radar. Especially for a guy like Shootsie. All he ever did was book.

Oh okay sorry about the bad lead. The guy was the same age and had the same name so I figured it had to be him.

Our Sparacio would have still be in prison so it is not this guy. I thought Shootsie died back in 2003 but evidently not.

I always get the two mixed up. Only been to Jersey once, and that was to get some new tires on my girls car.

Shotsie was a south jersey guy, not with the down neck crew.

Shotsie never flipped right? What would a Philly/Down Neck guy being doing in Illinois? Not saying he couldn't of moved, but I don't recall ever hearing anything of him being uncomfortable in that environment. Not totally convinced this is Shotsie either.
