"My gambling income for 2017 was 22,500" hand written on a lined piece of paper with no supporting documents. That's hilarious. Did he think that would hold up? I think its pretty rotten of the feds to indict this guy given his family circumstances. Unless theres drugs or murders involved, who cares if this guy cares for his daughter with gambling proceeds, tribute money, etc. Leave the guy alone. Aren't there more pressing matters for the feds to focus on?
I'm sorry, but his daughter's situation does not give him a pass. His daughter's issue is completely unrelated to this. He's not paying his taxes, and is clearly lying about his income. And we'll skip over the fact that he probably has been involved in murders and drugs in his life. This is very straight forward. He's lying about his income, and hasn't paid taxes since 2004. End of story.
Agreed with this 100%. These guys all have Al Capone as an example of what not to do, and shit that tax case he had was 90 years ago. There’s no excuse to not pay up to the IRS.
There’s a lot of shit the feds may not care much about or may look the other way on, but not paying any taxes is always going to bite you in the ass.
I mean seriously, how hard is it to get a bullshit no-show job so you can have a legit W2? Then funnel your street money through different front companies, etc. Aren’t there any crooked lawyers left in Detroit who can help this guy?
