Those who don't want to do heavy prison time FLIP for them its a good reason. Massino Lino and Coppa are all fat fucks and couldn't stand the thought of Prison food the rest of their lives..so that did it for them. FOOD

I never said good or bad rat only a rat with a good reason to flip that wasn't the risk to be killed or a long sentence,Vitale was unpopolar and Massino treated him like a pariah while his "trusted" men started to flip and in the Raab book one of them had a nervous breakdown at the idea of going to jail, these tought mobsters! While Vitale didn't nothing and despite them Massimo ordered to whack him.

Salvatore Vitale because was de facto put on shelf by Massino and cut all his profts but despite this he helped Massimo to organize Gerlando Sciascia murder in 1999 but Massino continued to don't trust Vitale and when in 2002 Vitale was arrested decided to stay loyal despite nobody helped his family when was in jail but after other made men start calling him "Fredo",Vitale decided that had enought of Massino.

Frank Cullotta because he thought that Spilotro was going to kill him.

Sonny Mercurio because the Mafia wasn't helping his family while he was in prison.

Tomasso Buscetta whose family and friends were being targeted by Riina and the Corlonesi

Nicky Skins ratting is not justifiable. Of course a father would do anything to save his son, but that doesn't make it justifiable. "I'm a criminal who can't handle prison" is never a good excuse.
Nicky Skin can resist in prison but wanted to avoid prison for his son,for sure would be better keep his son out of life but as Corallo said "if we want this (the life) for us why should want this for our sons?".

One thing I've learned listening to ex-LCN made men and associates who flipped is that many of them are in denial when it comes to being a rat. Very few own up to it completely.

So you think it's not okay to Rat? What a backwards world you live in
No it’s not ok to commit crimes and then ray. Don’t commit the crimes then. Maybe go to work everyday like the rest of us. But half of these rats were the one out there abusing people
Left and right and pulling there shit. So no it aint ok to rat when you join a criminal group that denounces ratting.

Hired_Goonz wrote: Thu May 27, 2021 11:31 am They all have a "good reason": a long prison sentence. Any time you make a decision you have to weigh the pros and the cons and for virtually all of these guys there are a lot more reasons to cooperate than not. Especially these days, you don't even have to join WITSEC or anything like that for the most part. You can say that ratting makes them a scumbag, but guess what? They already were and so are the guys they're testifying against.
Exactly I don't get these dudes who talk shit about guys ratting. They're helping put other pieces of shits away.
