- Lucchese crew operated from social clubs in East Orange, New Jersey during Anthony Delasco and Michael Taccetta leadership. They also controlled rackets from Newark’s West Ward and gambling operations from Bloomfield Ave. In May 1982, Michael Taccetta setup a headquarter from the “Hole in the Wall” luncheonette in the Down Neck (Ironbound) section of Newark.

- I agree the Genovese family has always been the most powerful family in New Jersey controlling the docks and with multiple capos and crews. Top members of the Genovese family underboss and consigliere were from New Jersey. The Genovese family controls Hudson county, the Newark docks, Bergen county, a crew was in Newark.

- Gambino family soldier Nicholas "Nicky Skins" Stefanelli (later killed himself) who interacted with several organizations and regular at mob-linked bars and social clubs along Bloomfield Avenue in and around Newark, N.J., and did business with wiseguys from New York and New Jersey, and with a Newark-based crew of the Philadelphia crime family.
