Re: Springfield
You can listen to Anthony Arillotta's interviews. He covers pretty much all of that.

Re: Springfield
What about the bookmaker ceccetilli ? Yes I know I spelled the name wrong but what is / was his deal? If he is an associate of the genovese’s that speaks to the quality of people out there the last 20 years
Re: Springfield
He was an associate with the Genovese Springfield crew. Tom La Vecchia interviewed him a few weeks ago:

Mafia genealogist Justin Cascio has an excellent summary of the succession of Springfield bosses, and some other useful blog posts that touch on Springfield’s history (it apparently started as a Camorra organization which was later absorbed into the Genovese Family as a crew; even the latter day bosses of the Springfield crew reflect the same Italian origins as the gangsters active there in the early 20th century, so there’s clearly been a line of continuity).CornerBoy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:58 am Can someone pls direct me to a thread or resource where I can read about how that part of mass evolved with Bruno, the guy before him and ultimately ariltotta? Before a suspect was named in Grasso’s killing, the following March, Milano was arrested along with Frank Pugliano on charges of conspiracy and racketeering. But he was free on bail in October 1989, four months after the murder, sponsoring the induction of Vincent Federico into the Patriarca crime family. Federico, 30, was on a 28 hour furlough from the Massachusetts Corrections Institute at Shirley on “family business.”
Really great article but I thought this part was great. This guy got a furlough from prison and used it to go to his induction ceremony. Keeping it as real as it gets!

If you haven't previously read Justin's blog (not meaning you, specifically, Johnny, but everyone), there's a lot of really good stuff there. Mostly genealogy stuff that's more germane to the stuff I tend to focus on (connections back to Italy, deeper mafia history in the US), which certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea, but Justin has done a lot of useful work there.

Damn I'm not sure if you could ever find an article that's harder to read! A lot of information there but lacking a good editor!PolackTony wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 2:40 pmMafia genealogist Justin Cascio has an excellent summary of the succession of Springfield bosses, and some other useful blog posts that touch on Springfield’s history (it apparently started as a Camorra organization which was later absorbed into the Genovese Family as a crew; even the latter day bosses of the Springfield crew reflect the same Italian origins as the gangsters active there in the early 20th century, so there’s clearly been a line of continuity).CornerBoy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:58 am Can someone pls direct me to a thread or resource where I can read about how that part of mass evolved with Bruno, the guy before him and ultimately ariltotta? "Occasionally in law enforcemeis nt we try to use one bad guy to catch other bad guys. Sometimes this works out and sometimes is does not. When they violate our trust and commit or are suspected of committing a crime we immediately stop any association with them, as in this case,"
Occastionally? thats how they solve 99 percent of their cases and aside from a few they invariably fuck up while a cI or outright prevaricate. I still hold that this is a waste of resoucrces to go over gamblers when ms13 is killng ppl left and right, cartels, russians, big, murderous drug rings - most of this shit is so stupid. the killings deserve attention but the other stuff is so penny ante.
