Mafia Activity in Atlantic City?
What money is currently made in Atlantic City through the New York or Philly families ? I’m talking current not past history.

At this point next to none. NY never had much of a presence there to begin with and the recent Philly case revealed that they had lost the city and we're trying to get back in in 2015 but were unsuccessful.

Got to get a hold back on Atlantic City, buddy! That’s what I want. We have to get that back. I don’t want nobody just glomming our fucking shit.

Am not a gambler, but I went to AC a few years ago for a bday party, sad sight really 95% of the casino/slots were senior citizens (many in wheelchairs/walkers) gambling away their social security/rent. But to each their own.

All evidence points to none. Sadly…the mob and AC always was a cool fit.

Last relatively significant case was the bookmaking case out of the Borgata in 2008. From the Mazzone case it seems they were targeting a handful of bookies and loansharks. Not sure what else is there at this point. They're not taking $30-40k a month out of the Hotel Employees Union anymore.

I was there a couple of weeks ago (Trop). The beach was actually pretty nice and clean.
Re: Mafia Activity in Atlantic City?
I agree , It gets a bad rap but there is so much to do in AC during summer , nice beaches , boardwalks, restaurants and now sports book . Winters are ok but summers are fun. I’ve actually looked at real estate down there as it’s cheap for jersey shore
Re: Mafia Activity in Atlantic City?
It's not a one or the other option.
Re: Mafia Activity in Atlantic City?
I think the real rackets for AC were during the days when Scarfo was there and they were building and staffing the casino's. That's when NY really had any kind of interest there. Unions.etc. After the Demise of Scarfo, the Mayor getting indicted etc. They really kicked LCN out of politics and the unions there. It never recovered. You might have to drug dealing and some gambling action. The sports book they had running out of the poker room in the Borgata is a good example..But nothing where they are involved in unions or construction...or even corruption.

That’s true but a city under the umbrella of the mob is going to much safer then a city u der the umbrella of the bloods. But I know this is 1970 anymore lol
