So I'm currently working on a bio for former Philadelphia family capo/ government witness Peter Caprio for the forum, and I could do a bit of help.
I'm currently raking through everything I can on him that's available from newspapers, books, NJSCI reports, etc., (currently I have about 100 works cited) but if anyone would be willing to offer any help particularly with PACER stuff it would help a great deal.
More specifically, I'm looking to find transcripts of Caprio's testimony. Specifically, he testified in the following trials:
2:99-cr-00363 USA v. MERLINO et al., United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Caprio testified on 6, 7, and 8 June 2001)
2:01-cr-00197 USA v. CENTORINO, et al., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (Caprio testified on 2 February and I think 4 February 2004)
1:04-cr-00651 USA v. COFFEY, et al., United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Caprio testified on 17 October 2005)
2:09-cr-00496 USA v. LIGAMBI, et al., United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Caprio testified on 18 November 2012 and on 7 November 2013).
I recently got my own PACER account but needless to say I very quickly realised I was not adept at using it effectively. I can't tell whether I just couldn't figure out where the transcripts were or if they are not there at all. I would've thought at least that audio of Caprio's testimony at the Ligambi trial would have been there (I found other audio from that trial) but I couldn't see it.
Any help would be appreciated, even if it's just to let me know I'm an idiot and I'm not using PACER properly. (Though I am very good at wasting 10 cents on searches)

There are some trials where the transcripts are not on PACER, I’ve run into that problem Massino’s trial. However, since you know the dates you can find the court reporter on PACER, and try and contact them directly. The court website should have a way to contact them for a copy of the transcript. It might be more expensive that way, I got a few days of Massino’s trial and the guy charged me a dollar and 25 cents per page, rather than 10 cents through pacer, just a heads up.
