I think 5x world boxing champion Tony Canzoneri was realted to at least 3 mafia family in both US and Italy

I was researching abou Tony Canzoneri and I came across to a post on a website called Answers. A guy claims he's Tony's great nephew and Tony's father was a mob boss. He didn't mentione his name but he says Tony's wife Rita had a slot machine business with financial support from mob but. After her business got bigger eventually mob took over her business. After that she moved to LA and worked for Bugsy.

I did a little bit of reseacth by myself and I think Tony is related to Corleone family by blood. I found couple more Canzoneri and they are all realted to some mobsters in Corleone and some to other families in US but I couldn't find the bondbetween them. Like there's a called Maria Canzoneri and I found a picture of her with Joseph Pip the Blind Gagliano (blood relative of mob boss Tommy Gagliano and related to NO family underboss Frank “Fat Frank” Gagliano) and caption was Maria and her in laws. Somehow Tony is almost realted to at least 3 family .I'm still trying to find bond between them so please if you guys know anything comment it.

For what it’s worth,I remember Bill Bonanno said that Canzoneri was a capo in the Bonanno family.

I was surprised when Bill Bonanno wrote that boxing champ Tony Canzoneri was a made member of his borgata, but then I found his name in several FBI files. There were other Canzoneris in Southern California who were connected to the Los Angeles Family. They came from Corleone and were not related to the boxer.

Yeah, you have to figure with how many future mafia members had boxing careers, one of them was bound to be successful.

I've seen Canzoneri listed as a deceased Bonanno member in FBI files from the 1970s, so the FBI was aware of it long before Bonanno's book (though Bill did cooperate with the FBI in the 1960s, so maybe he told them then). The photo with Joe Bonanno shows he was close to the boss.

The New Orleans Gaglianos were from Agrigento, so not related to the NYC Gaglianos from Corleone.

The Canzoneris might have been from Prizzi, near Corleone, but can't confirm.
