Chin's Captains?
Sorry if this info is elsewhere, the search function is a little busted.
Does anyone have a list of the possible Westside captains in the 80s and 90s?

Appreciate it!
For that crew succession thread...I figured there had to be more crews than that right? No Joe Dente Sr crew, no Rudy Santobello crew..etc
Re: Chin's Captains?
Yeah, it's not an exhaustive list. Just mainly to show the succession of those crews where there is sufficient info. Maybe others have more info on those guys. A list of every guy in the family who held the captain position during a span of 20 years would be probably be a big one.

True.
Re: Chin's Captains?
A 1983 FBI report has eleven total captains supplied by an informant, including these names:Wiseguy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 4:19 pmThese were the captains identified by Cafaro in 1988.
1. Vincent Alo
2. John Ardito
3. Barney Bellomo

12. Joseph Loicano
13. Ottaviano Lombardi
14. Frank Scibelli
John Buonarobo (died 1985)
Mario Gigante
Sammy Santora (same as Bellomo crew above)
The rest of the names are also on the 1988 list, with one name redacted. It doesn't include any NJ captains and is no doubt incomplete, but it's fairly close to Cafaro's list overall when you figure Buonarobo and Santora were replaced by 1988.
Re: Chin's Captains?
Sammy Santora died in 1987.

Looks like Alo and Ardito headed crews in the Bronx, which are also the Centore/Parello/Dente/Santobello crews? Somehow Mario Gigante and possibly Danny Leo fit into this as well.
Re: Chin's Captains?
When did allie shades become a capo I know he took over crazy Tommy's crew? Who did gangi replace?
Re: Chin's Captains?
Allie Shades too over for Contaldo sometime in the late1980's. Gangi too over for Louis Gaccione, also in the late 1980s.
