B., Antillar, Chris Christie...
Came across this FBI file where it talks about a reliable source in Chicago reported that LaRocca was a Commission member and that a lengthy meeting between Angelo Bruno and Joseph Magliocco "strongly" indicated that LaRocca was in fact a Commission member.
Any chance we could find out who the Chicago CI was who reported this information?

Butch Blasi could be the informant

I'm not aware of who he is.

In The Last Testament of Bill Bonanno he writes that LaRocca was elected to the Commission in the 1950s but his spot was then given to Bruno

Last Testament of Bill Bonanno, P164 claims the matter was raised "of adding two new members to the Commission: Joe Zerilli of Detroit, and John LaRocca from Pittsburgh... LaRocca would retire to Sicily, and the Commission would replace him with Angelo Bruno..."
Joe Bonanno never spoke of this happening. But the son did. I don't know anything beyond that.

There is a very rare book about the IRS pursuit of John LaRocca by John P. Hayes, about former IRS agent Andrew Susce who was chasing down LaRocca in the 1940's and trying to deport him. Susce was fired over his case with LaRocca. The book was called: Lonely Fighter: One Man's Battle with the Government of the United States. LaRocca was allowed to stay in the U.S by the Pennsylvania Governor at that time of his deportation hearings. Very interesting book about LaRocca's young days working for Frank Amato Sr.Chris Christie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 4:36 pm Last Testament of Bill Bonanno, P164 claims the matter was raised "of adding two new members to the Commission: Joe Zerilli of Detroit, and John LaRocca from Pittsburgh...
