Chicago's Las Vegas operation after Spilotro

There has never been an identified point man for the Outfit in Vegas after Spilotro was killed but there definitely were Outfit people there running rackets. Here is a list that I have. I probably missed some. Does anyone have any more info on these guys or other knowledge?

Don Angelini: There have been numerous sources saying he replaced Spilotro. I do not believe these to be true. First, he never lived in Vegas. I think he took over as the area boss overseeing Vegas. His expertise in Gambling definitely helped him get that position. He was later taken down in the Ricon Indian casino indictment. My opinion is that he basically took over Lombardo's job as the oversee from Chicago. That is just my personal opinion. He died in 2000.

Rick Rizzolo: Owned the Crazy Horse and employed a lot of Mob guys there. Was supposedly involved in prostitution, drug trafficking and money laundering. The Lombardo brothers were alleged to be part owners of the place. Rocco worked there. Still alive and supposedly living in Orange County, California I believe. He has a lot of family still living in Vegas and he may even still have a house there.

Chris Petti: He was given a piece of Spilotro's rackets which included loansharking. He was based in San Diego. He got hit hard in the lates 80s and early 90s. Three indictments from what I know which include; a loansharking indictment , the Ricon indian reservation indictment,and narcotics indictment. He was convicted or pled guilty to all. Released from prison in the early 2000s and died in 2006

Renato DiSilvestri: I recently heard this guy was also sent to Vegas to run the rackets after he retired from the Chicago Police Department in the early 90s. I do not know what his job was there or what he was involved in. He ran gambling operations in Chicago, while he was a policeman. Anyone else have info on him? Unsure if he is alive.

Sam Cecola: Ran the Paradise Club in Las Vegas. Lots of gangsters would hang out there. Also owns Admiral Theater in Chicago. He was convicted in Illinois of skimming money from some adult bookstores he owned in Illinois and Wisconsin. He no longer lives in Vegas and sold the Paradise club. He still owns the Admiral Theater. Lives in Barrington.

John Spilotro: Youngest brother of Tony I believe. He was living in Las Vegas and was indicted with Chris Petti for loansharking I believe. Have not heard anything about him since then. Not sure if he is still alive.

Joey Cusumano: A New York guy that worked for Spilotro. Some point to him as having taken over some of the rackets in Vegas. He is alleged to have owned a piece of the Crazy Horse. I do not believe he was running anything for the Outfit. I think he was shelved after Tony was killed. I do believe he tried to stay in the rackets but the Outfit sent a message and he survived getting shot while in his garage. I think after that, he stepped back and retired. He is still alive.

Rocco Lombardo: Worked at the Crazy Horse. Brother of Joey Lombardo. Not sure if he was running any rackets and im not even sure if he is still living there.

Lamont Howard: Was a gambling operator in Chicago and was arrested in the late 1980s there. 10 years later he was listed in the Laborer's Chicago Outfit chart as being west side Outfit associate living in Las Vegas. I have no other information on him.

Forgot to mention Herbie Blitzstein. He was shelved after Spilotro but continued to be involved in loansharking. Was killed by mobsters from LA and Buffalo bc he didn’t have the Outfit’s protection anymore

There needs to be a movie made about the mobsters trying to get into Vegas after the skim trials and the wheels fell off. Would probably be a comedy.

Interesting. I know of Fred Pascente. He did live out there but did end up coming back to Chicago where he died. He wrote a book. He also worked at the Crazy Horse Too in Chicago. Another guy that I remembered is Frank Citro. I believe he was an East Coast guy that did collections for Petti. Do you have any background info on the other guys?

Interesting. I know of Fred Pascente. He did live out there but did end up coming back to Chicago where he died. He wrote a book. He also worked at the Crazy Horse Too in Chicago. Another guy that I remembered is Frank Citro. I believe he was an East Coast guy that did collections for Petti. Do you have any background info on the other guys?

Pascente has a book out with some decent info. Nothing earth shattering but it is nice to see some personal thoughts on some of these guys. Pascente was like a poor man's Vin Makazian in Chicago.

I personally enjoyed Pascentes book, especially the part in which he talks about when they were kids, and they used to fight other youngsters from different neighbourhoods and yelled to eachother stuff like "We have Mooney" or "We have Joe B" depending on the area where they lived at the time lol or when they used to clean Riccas backyard or stuff like that
