My favorite Black Heroin (and others) Dealers
Since we can't argue in the general thread for Sonny....
Can I get a list of the top drug dealers that had a ORIGINZATION under them??
Doesn't have to be just drug dealers
NYC had...
Frank Matthews (probably the biggest?? Just heroin?)
Nicky Barnes - nest biggest?? I remember in the documentary Lucas and Barnes as old men talked to eachother and Barnes said:
"Well you only had Harlem. I had all the Burroughs." And Lucas didn't really respond. And it was funny bc this was after all the American Gangster shit.
Detroit
Chamberlin brothers - crack
YBI and Butch Jones - heroin
And who else is mentioned being as big as Matthews? Eddie Jackson??
Philly had the Black Mafia which I can't remmember who led that. Was that only drugs??
Atlanta has BMF big meech. He I'm imagining is up there but not as big as anyone previously mentioned. Possibly Frank Lucas big??
Also you had Alpo in the 80s but I don't think they were as big as anyone mentioned.
Anyone I'm missing??
I'm sure bumpy wouldnt have even made this list esp for time bc blacks were not respecting back then.
As stated previously in the general threads...
It can possibly be argued that these black hustlas are born into omerta, etc.

Re: My favorite Black Heroin (and others) Dealers
I dont know about other cities but during the 50s and 60s Chicagos Italian Mafia mainly spread the heroin in the black neighbourhoods around the South Side, thus creating many ruthless dope pushers and killers who by the late 60s became big and showed the middle finger to the Italians.
And if we talk only about organizational stuff, not drugs, i think that Mushmouth Johnson was the main guy who ruled at the begining of the 20th century

I don't know anything about Frank Matthews, but I always thought that Louis Cirillo was the biggest heroin trafficker in NY in the 60s until the early 70s. He was supplied by most of the French networks which at the time era sent heroin per ton to the US via South America or Florida
Re: My favorite Black Heroin (and others) Dealers
Frank Lucas was not big. He was a local yokel. Street gang variety drug lord. He did'nt own harlem. 5 fucking spots is five fucking blocks. That aint a neighborhood or a city. Urban legend bullshit the moolinyan and doe boys eat up.
Alpo was a s%$c corner boy. He aint in the conversation.
Delroy edwards and lorenzo nicols had a bigger op than frank lucas. And even they was stricly nyc.
The biggest h dealers were italian, chinks and a few spics. The coke market was dombinated by the spanish. Crack was everybody but in ny the spanish ruled. White customers dealed with the spanish more because they was afraid of blacks ripping or fucking em up.
Change the title of this topic. It sounds screwy.

Re: My favorite Black Heroin (and others) Dealers
There was a Black group in 1950's Harlem that bring heroin and coke into New York from the south, mostly Alabama and Mississippi I think it originated in Mexico. I have to look for a copy I have of the records to one arrest, they had 2 Harlem women stashing coke and heroin in their apartments for a dealer who one turned in after she was caught. The file from his case had no info on ht outcome, but some mugshots of him and the women. He had 8 pounds stashed in each place, or both drugs in each if I remember right. I looked up his name when I found the file about 3 years ago, nothing on him in the newspapers I searched. I think there were many middle sized groups rather than one large one, making them tougher to break up.

My investigation indicates that Frank Lucas is above the Mafia in the dope business.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Cirillo was Matthews main supplier until ‘69. Then Matthews got plugged in straight to the French Connection himself. And as soon as that happened, Matthews surpassed Cirillo.motorfab wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 6:58 am I don't know anything about Frank Matthews, but I always thought that Louis Cirillo was the biggest heroin trafficker in NY in the 60s until the early 70s. Lol says the guy who still thinks Nicky Barnes was bigger than Frank Matthews. The Feds and undercovers that investigated both of those guys would get a giant kick out of such a suggestion.JIGGS wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 2:10 pmOh yeah? Says who? Okay video game player. Keep quoting a book and a documentary. You was'nt on the street when it was going down. You sat in a movie theater in the 2000s with your popcorn and crack pipe and convince yaself this movie was real life. Nicky Barnes lasted a decade. Matthews was on the street for a quick minute. Threatning carl gambino ha! Fuck tv and the un named undercover anonami sources. Toy cops spread those rumors.Amershire_Ed wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 2:37 pmLol says the guy who still thinks Nicky Barnes was bigger than Frank Matthews. Barnes coulda stayed on the street for 25 years and he still wouldn’t have touched the numbers Matthews did. Barnes was part of a group of dealers. He wasn’t any bigger than Guy Fisher or anyone else.
I don’t know if it’s true or not because the only person I’ve ever heard it from was from one of the people investigating Roy Demeo, but according to this former cop, Barnes borrowed money from DeMeo once. DeMeo was on the board at the Brooklyn Credit Union and was lending out money to legitimate and illegitimate people. One of the criminals he leant money to once was Barnes, who needed it to re-up.
