This article says Jeffrey Blackman, who was an associate of bobby vernace, was tortured and killed. I don’t hear this hit talked about often but it’s brutal and it’s also unsolved. My guess is vernace’s people carried out the murder.

I remember when this happened , Supposedly he was skimming/Stealing money to support a Cocaine addiction . My Cousins GF at the time lived on the block his body was found and people couldn't get in or off the block all day . It was bad ,His body was found blocks from Vernaces

I would think the Suspects would possibly be Vernace since he was an associate and friend of his and whoever was in the Club that night if anyone was identified ? Now I'm interested in this case , See if we can gain any more info into his killing , Maybe more background since its obvious witnesses did give info on his whereabouts regarding his night , Dealings at the Club

He was a card dealer in a game, those guys come and go and with a few exceptions are not really with anyone tight. Probably a street dispute. If it was Vernace, it would have come out. A guy could be a dealer in a mob place on month, then work in a non-affiliated after hours a month later. He may have done scores or drug deals on the side, and fucked someone over.

Yea , I agree . But it was said he was close to Vernace , Who knows how close ? Vernace's club/Cafe was open a couple years ago still but I dunno if its still open ? That club was there for a long time and always packed night and day . It was at the corner of Cooper ave where it meets Myrtle ave across from McDonald's , It used to be called Global cafe

It's possible Vernace was involved, or knew who did it, but the guy sounds like more of a street guy as I said. It could have been anyone. The way he was killed, plus the body being left to find makes it sound like an outside dispute
