Lee & Drita D'Avanzo arrested
Exclusive: 'Mob Wives’ star Drita D’Avanzo, her husband arrested in Staten Island raid
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Drita D’Avanzo, a former star of “Mob Wives,” and her husband, Lee, were arrested after an NYPD raid on their Pleasant Plains home Thursday night allegedly found weapons and drugs, the Advance has learned.
D’Avanzo, 43, and her 50-year-old husband, a reputed mobster whose criminal history was central to her role on the show, were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at their home on the 200 block of Woodvale Avenue at about 6 p.m., according to a spokesman for the NYPD.
Officers recovered items including two loaded firearms, assorted pills, including painkillers and anti-anxiety medications, a large quality of marijuana and a scale, according to a police spokesman.
The raid happened after the NYPD received community tips and concerns about activities at that location, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
Both face charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
They are expected to be arraigned in Criminal Court in St. George on Friday.
Drita is no stranger to law enforcement.
Charges later were dropped after the hot-tempered diva was accused of punching a woman at the victim’s home in Tottenville. The scuffle happened on a Tuesday afternoon in February 2016. When an argument escalated, D’Avanzo allegedly threw multiple punches at the woman. Drita then fled the scene, but was later arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
Drita’s own “Mob Wives” biographical page posted on the VH1 website when she was starring in the show detailed her husband’s alleged ties to organized crime.
Her bio describes Lee as "the leader of a Bonanno and Colombo crime family farm team. While Drita’s husband is serving time in prison for bank robbery (for the second time), she is left alone raising two young girls, Aleeya and Gizelle.
"Drita, who comes from a strict Albanian household, defied her parents and married someone outside the community — an Italian."
Drita, who lived for a time in the Todt Hill Houses, “was raised in the projects of Staten Island after her family settled there from Albania,” according to her bio.
Her father was “a strict soccer coach” and after his training, “Drita was invited to play for the Women’s National Soccer Team and was all set to go until she met her first love, ‘the streets.’”
Drita’s bio described her rough-and-tumble life as the wife of a convicted felon. Lee was accused of robbing banks and “was escorted away by the Feds for an 8-year prison term” while Drita was pregnant with their first child, according to her bio.

Re: Lee & Drita D'Avanzo arrested
Guess this answers the question everyone asked if he was still involved ... to some extent he obviously is.. back in the day I heard he was held in decently high regard with the bonnanos... the 2 loaded guns are what’s going to fuck him with this.... that’s the only serious thing he’s looking at. For sure going back to prison.

Re: Lee & Drita D'Avanzo arrested
Its not legal for recreational use or Most medical circumstances . You have to go thru a big process to even be approved for a medical license . They just broke the laws down regarding possession amounts and personal use . Cuomo didn't or wouldn't sign off on the bills , Just to stop prosecuting low level offenses , Your let off with a D.A.T. if you have 27 grams or less provided its not for distribution , If you don't have a warrant and you don't have Priors. But , The Feds have total Jurisdiction to charge people for whatever and even in the U.S. The Federal marijuana laws have not been eased or reduced so the Feds can go in and take whoever they deem illegal in they're dealings regarding marijuana , That goes for legal growers and shops/Businesses, The Feds can swoop in and take them down if they're investigated and deemed not operating correctly under the guidelinesmafiastudent wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 10:08 am She's going to punch out the nosy neighbors that turned her in. Re: Lee & Drita D'Avanzo arrested
I guess so , But that wasn't the case when he went to prison and was awaiting trial in the MDC where , According to a few inmates and Carmine Agnello he was a total bitch and let others, Specifically the Spanish and blacks walk all over him and was supposedly obviously scared . Carmine Agnello thought Lee had his back and vice versa and when it was slot time for the phone he gave up his and others rights over threats . Carmine Agnello ended up reprimanding Lee, Told him get lost and then took the phone back and ended up brawling it out with 5 or more black prisoners while Lee did NOTHING !! Carmine then after the brawl and taking back slot time for him and others he told Lee where he can go , Fuck himself
